Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 17:20, “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard
seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Our faith and utterance is linked to our miracle. It is therefore important to say what we believe. Even
the smallest faith backed up with confession of God’s word, could birth a miracle. For instance, we earned salvation by believing and confessing that Jesus is Lord. The Bible says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ”(Romans 10:9–10 KJV). Confession of God’s word will always bring good results. For instance, God said to Jeremiah,“Thou hast well seen, for I will hasten My word to perform it.”
(Jeremiah 1: 12 KJV). In Isaiah 55:11, the Bible also says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Furthermore, the word of God is both an offensive and defensive weapon; biblically described as ‘the sword of the Spirit’ in Ephesians 6:17. The sword of the Spirit is one of the major weapons needed in spiritual warfare. When put to use in the battles of life, victory is sure. Powerful Confessions for Victorious Christian Living offers readers choice scriptures from God’s Word to help them in several areas of life, from Christian growth to handling fear, divine healing and comprehending the mercy of God. The verses and confessions enable Christians to understand God’s plan for them. Satan is always at war with Christians, trying to hinder them from attaining God’s ultimate purpose. God’s redemption plan is to save man – spirit, soul and body. The redemption of the spirit is at the new birth, when we are born again. The redemption of the soul is through sanctification. The redemption of the body is at resurrection, when the Lord Jesus returns.The Christian plays a major role in the redemption of his or her soul, because there is a constant war that goes on between the Spirit and the flesh Galatians 5: 17. To win this war the Christian needs the effective use of God’s word. By the help of the Holy Spirit I have put this book together as a tool for every Christian Family. The Chapter titled ‘General Confessions’ spans across almost every issue of life, and so can be used as a daily confession. The other chapters should be used as the needs arise. Remember, in 1 Peter 5: 8 the Bible tells us, that our enemy
the devil, goes about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. As a result, it is important we stay on the offensive: sober and vigilant so we are not caught in his web of attacks. When you arm yourself with these confessions, you will live a Victorious Christian Life.
