No one has to tell you that our words are powerful. They have the power to build up or to tear down. As we continue our verse by verse study of the book of James, we are going to see how with God’s strength, our words can be used for good and to bring God glory.

Today was our first service in the remodeled sanctuary 😍 In addition to our regular worship, we had two baptisms. We also spent time today thanking God and all of our church members who spent the last 7.5 months working on it as well as praying for everyone who will experience it now and in the future.

Sanctuary Dedication
1 Corinthians 3:9-17
God’s Building

This is a special day in the life of our church as we will be dedicating our newly renovated sanctuary to the Lord. We are very blessed to have a beautiful building where we can worship God. However, the Bible teaches us that God’s building is not a physical edifice, but the people of God. Our Scripture passage this week shows us principles we are to remember about us being God’s building.

Thursday July 30: We spent the morning mapping out our local community in a similar way that Send Relief does so we can be more effective missionaries at home. Then we headed to Engage Christian Church to paint their youth room and another room as well. What a beautiful church! We were blessed to help them continue to serve God!

Several of us spent our quarterly mission morning with the Mylife Medical & Resource center in High Ridge. We were able to help them switch out their winter clothes for summer clothes to help out local families. What a fun and productive morning we had together!
