(1)

Believing we are an agent of God in Houghton and the surrounding areas, Houghton Wesleyan Church will be a place of grace and healing. Enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit, we will provide a safe refuge and a holy place to be the people of God we know we should and must be; this can only be accomplished through our individual and mutual commitment to and our corporate worship of the Lord Jesus Christ.

SUNDAY VOTING MAY 24TH
• Houghton Wesleyan Church will hold a members’ vote on extending a call to Rev. Bill and Rev. Kristen Allen as co-pastors.
• Before casting their vote, members are encouraged to attend in person or online, one of the morning services and hear the Allens preach.
• In person voting: Church members may vote between 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. in Room 105 (across from the library).
• Absentee voting: If you are unable to be at church that morning, you can vote remotely from 12:00–2:00 p.m. EDT by phone call or email, confidentially and exclusively, to Susie Roorbach, secretary of the Board of Elders. 716-374-4290 / [email protected]
• Following the close of voting, a board of tellers will count the ballots and Elder Board chair Daryl Stevenson will inform the Allens of the result. If the vote exceeds 80% in favor, a call will be extended and the Allens have up to a week to respond.
• The congregation will be informed whenever we receive an answer.
