In prayer today and under conviction on the spirit of complaining and entitlement that’s in our world and sadly it’s even in the church world to some degree. My friends Happiness comes when we stop complaining about the troubles we have and offerthanks for all the troubles
we don't have. One of the things mentioned in Romans 1 that eventually led them to doing some terrible things was this , “ Neither were they thankful”. When we become so ungrateful and unthankful at what God has already done for us I believe it opens the door for the enemy to come in and come in strong. I felt the Lord showed me in prayer just now that a complaining spirit and a ungrateful spirit has become the default position for too many people. A "default position" generally refers to the initial or pre-set position or stance on an issue or topic. There are too many people of God that immediately lean towards complaining and being ungrateful vs being glad and happy about what God has done and is doing in our land right now. I felt this strong today and I’m going to declare it….. we all need to have a personal prayer meeting with nothing but just being thankful and grateful for ALL He has done in our lives. the scripture tells us, In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
As soon as I finish typing this, I’m turning my phone off and I’m having a personal prayer time and I’m not asking Him for anything but I’m going to thank him for everything. Yes, the good, the bad and the ugly things in our life are moments for God to work miracles in and through us if only we could see it. I’m telling us today, we need to reverse that default position and we need to begin to praise the Lord like never before. As I look back over my life, and I think things over, I can truly say that I have been blessed, I have a testimony. And when I think of the goodness of Jesus, and all that he’s done for me, my soul cries out hallelujah thank God for saving me.
Lets be thankful!!!! ( Pastor Shoulders)

Today we will celebrate the life of a hero of faith. Bishop R.L. Burks was a gentle giant of a man and served for many years as Pastor of Mars Hill Pentecostal Church in Philadelphia, MS. Bishop Burks also served years ago as the Chairman of the Associated Brotherhood of Christians and he was an incredible voice of help and strength to many during his time in office. He will be deeply missed but we also rejoice in knowing that great is his reward.
Well done Bishop Burks.
