COMING HOME TO THE FATHER

This week, Abby shares her testimony with us. 🤍

Growing up, faith wasn't really a part of her home. But at just 15 years old, Abby says she began feeling God drawing her heart toward Him.

She was searching for something to fill the void she felt inside—researching different religions, looking for fulfillment, healing and love.

Until one day she simply cried out:

“God, if You are real, take this all from me.”

And He began drawing her Home.

Today, Abby serves on the worship team at House of Revival and is living proof of what can happen when we say yes to Jesus and pursue His will for our lives.

What a beautiful reminder that the things we search for in so many places—love, identity, purpose and fulfillment—are found in Him.

The Father is good.
He is faithful.
He sees us.
He knows us.
And He is always drawing His children Home.

Thank you, Abby, for being willing to share what God has done and is continuing to do in your life. Your testimony is a beautiful picture of what it looks like to encounter the Father and allow Him to transform your life.

HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD

This week, Brother Steve took us into the month of Elul—a season of preparation and, particularly, allowing the Father to deal with what may be broken within us emotionally.

He began with Proverbs 13:12:

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”

When things don't happen the way we hoped or expected, disappointment can begin to shape our emotions. If we aren't discerning what is happening, we can begin agreeing with disappointment, rejection, frustration, fear, or discouragement instead of agreeing with what God says.

Brother Steve took us to Ezekiel 37—the Valley of Dry Bones.

God tells Ezekiel prophesy

“Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!”
— Ezekiel 37:4

The bones had to hear.

And that's the message for us:

What are you hearing?

Are you listening to the disappointment?
The frustration?
The rejection?
The discouragement?

Or are you hearing the Word of the Lord?

At House of Revival, we've been talking about hearing and discernment for months because we understand how important it is that we learn to recognize the Father's voice and follow His leading.

Sometimes transformation begins with something as simple as this:

Stop listening to what is trying to keep you down and begin listening to what the Father is saying.

He wants to restore what has become dry.
He wants to renew our hope.
He wants to bring life where we've experienced disappointment.

Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.

COME HOME

Maybe you've been hurt by the church.
Maybe you've felt like you don't belong anywhere.
Maybe you've tried doing this Christian life on your own.
Maybe you've believed in Jesus but never really experienced what it means to walk with Him.
Maybe you've become tired of religion, routine, or simply going through the motions.

Or maybe you're just looking for a place where you can know the Father, be known by His family, and grow.

Whatever your story is, there is a place for you in the Father's House.

The House isn't just a place to gather.
It is a place to Host His Presence.

We believe God designed us for family.

A place where we can come together, worship, pray, hear His Word, encourage one another, and grow in our relationship with Him.

Not just to sit and receive—but to discover the gifts and purpose He has placed inside each of us.

Because you have a role to play.

In your home.
In your family.
In your workplace.
In your community.
In the body of Christ.

Our heart at House of Revival is simple:

Encounter His Presence.
Be Equipped by His Word.
Be Transformed into His likeness.
Be Sent into the world carrying His Presence.

We don't believe you were created to walk this journey alone.

We believe there is something powerful about coming Home to the Father's family—to a place where you can be loved, challenged, encouraged, equipped, and transformed.

YOU HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY

This week, Makayla shares how the Father has been teaching her that we all have a role to play in His body.

God has given each of us different gifts, strengths, and assignments. And when we learn to operate in what He has placed in us, we can contribute to something much bigger than ourselves.

Makayla shares how trying to operate outside of her gifting led to burnout—and how the Father showed her that her role as an intercessor is where she can flow with His Spirit.

Her testimony reminds us that we don't all have to do the same thing.

There is a role for you in your home.
There is a role for you in your family.
There is a role for you in your workplace.
There is a role for you in your community.
And there is a role for you in the body of Christ.

Sometimes we ask, “What is my purpose?”

Maybe we can start by asking:

“Father, what have You already placed in my hands?”

Learn to steward what He has given you.
Learn to operate in the gifts He has placed within you.
Learn to love the people He has entrusted to you.

You don't have to be someone else.

You have a place.
You have a role.
You have something to contribute.

And when every part of the body operates as God designed it, the whole body becomes stronger.

This is part of being equipped, transformed, and sent—learning how the Father wants to work through you wherever He has placed you.

HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS

Seven times in Revelation 2 & 3, Jesus says:

“Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Seven times.

Jesus is emphasizing something we cannot afford to overlook:

We need to learn to hear the Spirit.

Apostle Grady taught us that developing our spiritual ears requires us to make room for God.

Fasting quiets the flesh.
Prayer quiets the noise.
And sometimes prayer means talking less and listening more.

There is something powerful about lingering with the Father. Sitting with Him. Waiting on Him—even when we don't immediately hear or feel anything.

Like Abraham, who waited on the promise of God without letting the waiting destroy his faith.

Hearing the Spirit is something we develop.

It takes time.
It takes practice.
It takes surrender.

And when we hear Him, we have a choice:

Will we obey?

We've been talking about hearing the Spirit since Brother Steve taught us about the season of Av and the call to Hear. Discern. Advance. We believe there is a reason the Lord continues to bring us back to this.

Because we only go as far as our last yes to God.

His Presence leads us.
His Spirit teaches us what to pray.
His voice gives us direction.

So what would it look like for you to quiet the noise, make space for Him, and simply listen?

“Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says…”

Maybe the invitation today isn't to talk more.

Maybe it's to linger longer.

COME HOME 🤍

Have you become casual in your relationship with the Father?

The Presence of God isn't something we simply experience when we gather. He desires relationship with us. Intimacy with Him is where we learn His heart, hear His voice, and come to know His Presence.

As we delight ourselves in the Lord, our hearts begin to desire what He desires.

Jesus warned His disciples about the leaven of the Pharisees because it is possible to become so focused on what we know, what we prefer, or what we believe should happen that we miss His Presence right in front of us.

We don't want to miss Him.

We want to know Him.
We want to seek Him.
We want to delight in Him.

So come Home this Sunday. Let's put aside the noise and our preferences and seek the Father together.

DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD 🤍

This week, Meranda shares a powerful testimony of redemption.

Her story reminds us of what Apostle Grady has been teaching us about preference and Presence.

There was a season when Meranda followed what looked good and felt right to her. But what we prefer isn't always what God has designed for us.

And yet, even when we wander, His Presence doesn't leave us.

He continues to draw us back.

Back to His heart.
Back to His truth.
Back to His will.

Meranda shares how she experienced His grace, mercy, love, and redemption—and how she learned to forgive herself and receive the love of the Father.

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
— Psalm 37:4

Maybe delighting in the Lord isn't only choosing Him when everything is going right.

Maybe it's choosing Him in the storm.

When the answer isn't what we hoped for.
When circumstances hurt.
When our emotions want to lead us somewhere else.

We can choose to keep our eyes on Him.

Like Peter walking on the water, when we take our eyes off Jesus, the storm becomes what we see. But when we fix our eyes on Him, we remember whose we are and who He is.

He is good.
He is faithful.
He is our Redeemer.
And His love is not dependent on our circumstances.

His Presence over our preference.

When we choose Him, He transforms us.

He equips us.

And He sends us forward carrying His love into the lives around us.

Thank you, Meranda, for being willing to share your story and remind us that God redeems ALL things.

May we learn to delight in Him—not only in the good days, but in every season.

Choose His Presence.
Keep your eyes on Him.
