Please note several updates to our altar server seating and sanctuary arrangement. The Crucifer (cross bearer) will now sit on the same side as Father and assist with the Roman Missal, while the Candle Bearers will sit on the opposite side. We have also relocated both credence tables within the sanctuary (see Deacon Chuck's note below).

Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we implement these changes! ✝️

An Update

In 2026, the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas launched a pastoral planning process called Renewal from the Heartland. The process began with a Lenten small group series called Beatitudes from the Heartland. The four-part series provided participants with an opportunity to reflect on the Scriptures and the writings of the Church fathers, particularly the documents of the Second Vatican Council, Pope Francis, and Pope Leo XIV, regarding baptized Catholics’ responsibilities within their parishes and other ecclesial communities.

The second phase of Renewal from the Heartland, Listening with the Heart, was held April 13-29 at 32 sites in the archdiocese. Sessions were held in two prisons and seven community centers and on four high school and college campuses and 17 parish sites (two parishes hosted multiple sessions). Synodal-style listening sessions of approximately 90 minutes each, offered in a prayerful setting, were used to gather people’s responses to two prompts:

Please share a story about your experience with the Church that has shaped you.
What is the Holy Spirit asking of us?
Approximately 1,000 individuals participated in the listening sessions, both in English and Spanish. The deaf community was offered a customized session as well. These responses were collected and compiled by 100 trained facilitators and the archdiocesan synodal team.

These responses were used to formulate survey questions for a public, online survey (available in both English and Spanish) being conducted June 1-22. Responses provided in the listening sessions and to the online survey will serve as the source material for the archdiocesan pastoral planning process, which will be initiated by Archbishop Shawn McKnight at a diocesan convocation for parish leaders on Sept. 12. The responses will also be segmented by deaneries, and customized reports and resources will be provided to each deanery for use by parishes and the deanery in pastoral planning.

Has your romance faded, or is your marriage in crisis? Retrouvaille is a program for married couples facing difficult challenges in their relationship. Join the upcoming Retrouvaille program, June 19-21, at Savior Pastoral Center.

Retrouvaille is:
• A proven and canonically recognized marriage program that has been helping couples restore their marriages
and rebuild their faith since 1977
• A practical program to improve communication, build stronger marriages, and help couples reconnect
• Presenters are not marriage counselors, but rather couples and a Catholic priest sharing their personal stories,
struggles and the tools they used to rediscover their love.

No marriage is beyond hope. You are not alone. To register for the weekend or to learn more, visit https://helpourmarriage.org/ or call 800.470.2230.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
Come Spend Time With Jesus

"Be still and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10

What Is Eucharistic Adoration?

Eucharistic Adoration is worship of Jesus Christ truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. Catholics believe that in the Eucharist, Jesus is truly present—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

Spending time before the Blessed Sacrament is spending time in the presence of the living God.

At St. Leo's Parish

📍 Eucharistic Adoration is held every Monday

🕗 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

⛪ Come for an hour or stop by whenever your schedule allows.

What Do You Do During Adoration?

There is no special formula.

Simply come and be with Jesus.

You may:
• Pray quietly
• Read Scripture
• Pray the Rosary
• Reflect in silence
• Offer your worries and intentions to God
• Simply sit and rest in His presence

The most important thing is to be present to the One who is present to you.

Struggling With Distractions?

Bring them to Jesus.

When worries arise, simply pray:

"Jesus, mercy."

"Jesus, I trust in You."

Place each concern before Him and allow His peace to fill your heart.

Why Come?

✓ Experience peace

✓ Deepen your relationship with Christ

✓ Listen for God's voice

✓ Grow in faith and trust

✓ Receive spiritual strength for daily life

We Invite You

Whether you've attended Adoration many times or have never come before, Jesus is waiting for you.

Come and discover the joy of being in His presence.

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28

In conjunction with Totus Tuus this summer, we didn’t want to leave out our youngest parishioners! 🐄🌾🐑

For children entering PreK–Kindergarten, we are excited to host 'Faith on the Farm' VBS during the same week as Totus Tuus! This fun-filled week will include faith, crafts, music, games, and plenty of farm-themed fun designed especially for little ones.

While the older kids enjoy Totus Tuus, our younger children will have their own special opportunity to grow in faith and friendship too!

We can’t wait for a wonderful week together filled with learning, laughter, and God’s love
