As our final Penn State Extension Master Gardeners Seed to Supper class comes to a close, our hearts are full of gratitude, friendship, and excitement for all that is still growing.
From tiny seeds to flourishing plants, we now have tomatoes, carrots, peas, radishes, and cucumbers growing in our gardens — but the most meaningful growth happened within our classroom community. Each week, our Master Gardener teachers shared not only their incredible knowledge and experience, but also their kindness, patience, and passion for gardening and helping others learn.
We are so thankful for every lesson, every laugh, every shared story, and every helping hand in the garden. What began as a gardening class became something much more special — a place of encouragement, connection, and joy.
While we will miss gathering together each week, the beauty of this experience will continue every time we water our gardens, watch something bloom, or harvest what we planted together.
Thank you to everyone who made this journey so meaningful and a very special thank you to our own Master Gardener, Sharon Hanlon , who helped us weekly to grow our garden.
The class may be ending, but the joy, friendships, and love of gardening will continue to grow.
