Naomi Baird | Class of 2026
Feeling at home in a dorm can make all the difference – and for many students at FBCI, that sense of home begins with Naomi Baird.
Naomi grew up in a Christian home and was always surrounded by ministry, with her father pastoring at various churches. Though she always knew Jesus, as Lord, it was in her late teens that she fully returned to Him, deepening her walk, and surrendering her future into His hands.
The quiet strength and personal faith now fuels the way she serves others. Her journey to FBCI was shaped by legacy – her father attended in the late 90s – and by a desire to grow closer to God. “This place just had a very loving family dynamic, Naomi shares. “The kindness and genuine fire for God I saw in students here – it was something I hadn’t seen before.”
Even when dorm life has its challenges – whether it’s navigating differences and maturity or encouraging students to take their faith seriously – Naomi meets them all with grace. She’s honest about the imperfections, but she doesn’t shy away from responsibility. Instead, she leans in, believing that love and consistency speak louder than rules.
Today, she carries that spirit. Whether she’s greeting a new student, offering prayer or simply being a steady presence, Naomi helps others find not just a place to stay, but a place to belong.
Her advice is simple, but central: “Go to God in everything.” And while she’s still discerning what’s next, Naomi trust the Lord will use her compassion and care to reach others – just as she’s doing now in the dorms of FBCI.
