Today is the first Water Drop Off opportunity.
If you're willing and able to help, please bring water to Hopkins United Methodist Church.
All bottled water will be wonderful but gallons of water would be great as it will create less plastic for them to get rid of AND the residents can take the jugs to a store to be refilled.
Want to make a cash donation?
You can mail a check, drop off a cash donation or donate through our Venmo account.

Have you heard what is happening to the residents at Oak Lane Apartments? Over the years they have been placed under numerous water-boil advisories. Many of those water-boil advisories last for extended periods of time and include a chlorination process. Due to this the residents of Oak Lane Apartments have been left having to buy clean drinking water, purified water for brushing teeth, showering, and washing dishes, and water to use for cooking. The current boil advisory that they are under has already lasted for 3 weeks. This cost has been a lot on the residents and they now need assistance from the community.
They are not allowed by management to host a water drive on site, so Hopkins UMC will be the drop-off place for all donations of water bottles, gallons, or jugs. We will continue to collect water as it is needed for the residents, but to get started this week, we will be taking drop offs on Wednesday 10am-1pm, Friday 10am-1pm & 5-7pm, and Saturday 10am-4pm. Stay tuned for more information about ways you can support our Oak Lane community.
For questions or to arrange another time for drop-off, contact Pastor Kelsey at 248-613-0366.
