Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery

Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery Our Cemetery holds your loved ones. Each of these people had a life and a story. We believe their resting place should be treated with respect and dignity.

They hold our past, people who lived long before we were born. Veterans, the unknown, the elderly and infants who lived only a day are resting here.

Did you know...Glass containers, potted plants, metal designs, wire holders, edging, marble/gravel, toys, shells, landscaping rock, and mulch around tombstones cause a safety issue. These items fly, break, hit other headstones and workers, and get caught in the w**d eater.

The above items are NOT permitted due to a safety issue.

Cemetery Regulations

Due to problems that arise with mowing and trimming and in the interest of safety. We, the Directors, deem it necessary to establish the following rules and regulations, and we reserve the right to make adjustments as necessary.

The Cemetery location is subject to high winds. Flowers, torn Flags, decorations, and foil blow onto adjoining properties and into farmers' fields. Therefore we will remove all decorations from the cemetery that are unsightly or not securely fastened.

*Decorations placed during Nov. 1 and March 31, must be securely fastened to the headstone. After April 1st, the family needs to remove all winter decorations. Board members and/or caretakers have the right to remove them if they are still left on the graves.

*Glass containers, potted plants, metal designs, wire holders, edging, marble/gravel, toys, shells, landscaping rock, and mulch will NOT be permitted due to a safety issue. These items fly, break, hit other headstones and workers, and get caught in the w**d eater.

*No planting of trees or shrubs. The roots have become detrimental to adjacent lots and lift headstones. We reserve the right to remove or trim any tree or shrub that is obstructing the movement of headstones or other loved ones.

*Flowers may be planted no more than six inches in front of the stone during spring and summer months.

*PLEASE DO NOT let your children play on the headstones. This is dangerous and disrespectful.

*Landscaping rock is not permitted. This is a safety issue when w**d-eating.

*All Funeral markers will be removed AFTER the headstone is put in with the loved ones' information on it. If a relative would like to have the marker, please contact Sarah at the email address listed on the page.
