Fellow Laborers,I hope that most if not all of you have had a great week this past week and also looking forward to our Sunday worship this upcoming Lord's Day. I would like to invite all that are available to attend our time of corporate prayer at 9 in which we gather to spend time in prayer for the services on Sunday and also over the needs on our weekly prayer sheet. Our text for this upcoming Lord's Day is 1 Timothy 5:17-20 on the subject "The Responsibility of the Church to the Elder." This will be a look at how the Apostle Paul, underneath the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, is to instruct the church on how to honor the elder(s) of the church. I would like to encourage you to read and pray over this text of God's Word and be ready to learn from Him this upcoming Lord's Day.Have a great weekend!

Fellow Laborers,
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and holiday. Just a quick reminder that due to the summer months coming upon us, we will be taking a break from the midweek prayer and Bible studies. We will resume back on August 4th. Attached is the updated weekly prayer sheet. One major update-Shawn's aunt Agnes Turlington went to be with the Lord on Monday evening. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughter Beverly and grandsons.

Fellow Laborers,
Happy Memorial Day Weekend! This weekend is always a special weekend in which we as a nation, reflect and remember those that laid down their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor so that we as Americans can enjoy the freedoms that we can now enjoy.
This upcoming Lord's Day will be a special day as we honor our two high school graduates, Yire Kim and Jacob Hill, with their Bible. We will also be celebrating the Lord's Table and reflecting upon the body and blood of Christ. Our text for this upcoming Lord's Day will be a continuation of last Sunday's message on "The Responsibility to Christian Widows-Part 2" from 1 Timothy 5:9-16. Be in prayer for this upcoming Lord's Day as we gather together in worship and reflection on God's Glory.

If you are new to the area or looking for a church to be used in a specific area of ministry, we have needs in the following areas:

Children's Ministry Opportunities
​The life of the church needs you! Teaching and non-teaching opportunities are available. No experience needed except a willingness to be trained and used by God. Please email [email protected] if interested in serving with our children's ministry.

The Following Teaching Positions Are Currently Needed:
Sunday 9:45 Children, Youth, Men, and Adult Teachers and Associate teachers needed. In August, we are looking to re-start our midweek Children's program with either AWANA or Adventure Club.

Worship Ministry Opportunities
If you have a talent for singing, playing an instrument or are interested in learning things such as Audio/Visual skills, the LBC Worship Ministry may just be the place for you.

Nursery Volunteers
We are seeing a lot of new families moving into our area and looking for a church with great nursery and age appropriate nursery facilities. We are in need of 3-4 volunteers during the 11:00 service and 2-3 on Wednesday nights from 6:45-8:00 PM. Greeters & Security Team
Our greeters and security team provides a warm, welcoming environment for our guests, as well as members weekly. If you are interested in joining the greeters or security team to serve on a rotating basis please email [email protected].​

Blanket Blessings
Blanket Blessings is a group of ladies that meets monthly and makes quilts and blankets for those undergoing cancer treatments and also for premature babies in both the cancer and NICU unit at CFVMC.

If interested in working in any of these areas of ministry, please feel free to contact Pastor Dwayne at [email protected]. For those desiring to work in any of the children ministries, you will be subject to a criminal background check. Also, if interested in security, a law enforcement background or security work while not required, would be greatly appreciative
