Week of June 21st, 2026 - Father’s Day & VBS

Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, And even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Let us take time to honor and pray for all fathers. We pray with thanksgiving for the faithful instruction and loving guidance they have provided in our lives. We also remember and honor all men who have served as Godly mentors, helping to shape our lives, by sharing their fatherly wisdom. Please remember to pray for those who are struggling with the absence of their father, either by death or certain circumstances. Most of all, let each of us be moved to draw closer to our one true eternal Father, who loves us with an unwavering and unconditional love, no words can express.

Let us also continue to lift up in prayer our Vacation Bible School that begins on Friday, June 26th. We pray for each child that will attend. We pray they will come to know our loving eternal Father God, and they will be moved to accept Jesus Christ into their hearts as their Lord and Savior. Pray that each day of VBS will offer the opportunity to change a child’s life by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ!

It was a glorious Sunday at Pintlala Baptist Church! Following a wonderful sermon by our guest pastor, Kenny Hoomes, we enjoyed Summer Splash Sunday.

The weather was perfect for the kids as they enjoyed the waterslides, a car wash style inflatable, and sq**rt toys. While the kids were outside, the adults enjoyed a time for fellowship and bingo. Of course, ALL the kids, young and old, had a great time visiting the ice cream truck.😊

A fun-filled day like Summer Splash Sunday would be impossible without the help of many hands. Thank you to everyone who helped!

Psalm 118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

As we welcome the days of summer, let us prayerfully lift up several summertime events here at PBC. We pray for the success of our Summer Splash Sunday. May it be a wonderful time of fellowship and fun for our congregation. Let us also continue to pray for our Vacation Bible School to be held June 26th-28th. May it be an amazing opportunity for children in our church and in our community to learn more about the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We also pray that everyone will consider participating in our VBS Mission Project by donating items that are needed for hygiene bags that will be packed by the children and distributed to the homeless by Patrick Aitken with Mercy House. Please prayerfully consider the list of items that are needed before the Sunday, June 21st deadline. Let us rejoice and pray for summer days of blessings here at Pintlala Baptist Church.
