Week of September 6th, 2026

Genesis 2:1-3 – “Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. 2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.”

As we observe Labor Day, let us take note of the example set by God, as scripture tells us He worked for six days and rested on the seventh. Just as God took time to rest and enjoy his creation, let us take time to rest from our labor and reflect on the blessings God has given to us. Let us also follow God’s action of remembering the Sabbath and keeping it holy. Let us pray that we will faithfully dedicate our Sundays to the Lord. We can do this by attending a bible study to learn about His Word and then joining together, to praise God’s glorious name in worship, here at Pintlala Baptist Church.

Week of August 30th, 2026

Psalm 105:2 “Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.”

Let us take time to acknowledge the vital role music plays in the life of our church. There is no doubt, music helps people connect with God. Song lyrics combined with beautiful music, minister to our hearts and give us a way to express ourselves in praise and worship to God. We see and feel how music unites the body of Christ when our congregation joins together in song. We pray with gratitude for the faithful members of our PBC Choir who enhance our worship experience each Sunday morning. We also pray with thankfulness for the faithful dedication of Steven Sessions, who has led our church music ministry for the past 16 years. Whether we are listening to bells ringing, choral calls to worship or the sounds of children’s voices uplifted in song, let us joyfully, pray with thankfulness for how the gift of music uplifts our soul and draws us closer to God as we worship together here at Pintlala Baptist Church.
