The deacons hosted the Senior Dinner tonight, complete with a delicious meal by Cathy and Margie and fabulous entertainment by one of our favorites - Tyson Hall. What an honor to treat our treasured members to a fun evening to show our appreciation for their dedication to our church. A wonderful time was had by all!

Week of August 4th, 2024 - Proverbs 3:6 – “Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” As summer break comes to an end, let us remember and lift up in prayer our children, youth and college students as they return to school. We pray for the protection, good health and academic success of each student. A new school year can cause stress and anxiety to students and their parents. We pray for peace as they deal with the countless demands placed on their lives throughout the school year. We pray that Christ and church learning activities will be a center focus of every student’s life. We also pray that every day each student feels God’s encouragement and guidance in each decision or opportunity that comes their way throughout the year. We pray students start out the school year by putting God first in all things, so He can show them the path to blessings and success!

We had a great time celebrating the women of PBC at our event on Sunday! After we enjoyed our lunch and ice cream, we had a short devotional on two pieces of the Armor of God and were entertainment by a game of purse scavenger hunt. Some of the things our ladies keep in their purse are truly extraordinary!

We missed many ladies at this event and hope that everyone is available to attend the next one being held on November 3rd. We plan to add to our painting collection so you will not want to miss it.

We appreciate the donations received for the Family Sunshine Center and we will continue to take donations until August 14th so please help if you can.

The Men's Ministry was hard at work Saturday building a wheelchair ramp for Jimmy and Carol Messick's house. They are actively making a positive difference in our church and community. Thank you for giving your time and energy to help others.

Week of July 28th, 2024 - Deuteronomy 24:19 - “When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.” There are many examples in scripture that instruct us to remember the less fortunate who are going through struggles in their lives. We want to lift up in prayer the PBC Women’s Ministry project to help the women and children living at the Family Sunshine Center’s residential shelter. We pray for each resident and the center’s mission of bringing hope, healing and safe shelter to survivors of family violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. We pray our congregation will consider the list of needed items and be able to donate to this cause by August 14th. We pray these items will be a blessing to the residents that receive them as they seek refuge in their journey to find hope and healing.
