I am amazed at parents that often bring their children to church out of duty - not out of faith.

They fill their spot in the pew, but never become an active disciple of Christ, working in and with the congregation. Then they get upset when their children get older and are asked to help acolyte or help in other ways that their kids don't want to participate.

If your children never see you making church part of your lives why would they?

Let us pray:
May all parents remember the vows they spoke when their children were baptized - to bring them up faithfully in the church. Let them show faith to their children. AMEN

Think about what you thought you would be doing as an adult when you where a teenager.

Did your life take that path? Often it takes us awhile to follow the path God desires us to be on. That journey can have many ups and downs, but what a joy when finally get to the place we were destined to be at.

Let us pray:
Guide us everyday, dear Lord, to the path and the work you desire for us. Let us bend to your will. AMEN

On this Labor Day, I hope attending a church service is in your plans.

For when we come to church we are feed with God's Word - we hear how we should serve God and others.

Than we are to put those words into action and seek to help others.

Lord, open our ears to hear your Word. Then let us put those words into action. In your holy name.AMEN

Politicians aren't the only one that like to spin things. You know to take a statement and spin it to suit your ideas.

In modern times, many denominations like to interpret what that Bible really says.

But, the Word of God doesn't need interpretation- what you need is to read the Bible and hear what it says.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, let us read your Word and let us hear your Word. For your Word has no need to be interpreted. Lord speak to me. AMEN

I have said it over and over again. Worry is a waste of energy and never changes anything.

But on the other hand, prayers can change everything. Raise your concerns to our heavenly Father and have faith.

There is often times in life when we want to give up and say, "I just can't do it!"

But if it is something we are meant to do. God will show us a way to get it done. If it is something that God says isn't important we should let it go.

With God anything is possible.
