2017 pointed Hunter Street to a simple truth: “Jesus is Better.”

Hebrews 12:1-2 called us to fix our eyes on Christ, the founder and perfecter of our faith, while Hebrews 1:3 reminded us that Christ is the radiance of the glory of God.

That focus shaped the life of our church, especially through small groups, with a continued commitment to always make room for one more!

We can't believe tomorrow is the last day of Summer Quest!

It's been a great week so far, and we're grateful for all God has done. Take a look at some of our favorite moments from the past four days, and be praying for all that God will do as we wrap up an incredible week tomorrow!

On Sunday, we shared the next video in our tribute series honoring Pastor Buddy Gray and thanking God for 40 years of faithful ministry.

Join us as we reflect on Buddy’s commitment to biblical truth and on how God has faithfully spoken through his teaching. Theology has never been just something to believe, but something to live, shaping generations of Hunter Streeters through theology in practice.

2015 continued our “Real Church” emphasis at Hunter Street while introducing “Coram Deo: living before the face of God.”

Through “We Are Hunter Street,” we were called to recommit to the Lord and to one another, embracing a shared identity of belonging, growing, serving, telling, and worshiping.

This commitment was put into action as members served across the community: packing backpacks for children, building a wheelchair ramp, and caring for local spaces and neighborhoods!

We also gathered to celebrate that commitment together at Samford University, marking a renewed dedication to the life and mission of Hunter Street.

2014 challenged Hunter Street to live out what it means to be a “Real Church.”

Acts 5:42 reminded us of a simple pattern: teaching, preaching, and living out the message of Jesus wherever we go!

This 18-month emphasis focused on being real people, sharing the real gospel, about the real Jesus, and being transformed by God’s grace.

That commitment was lived out as more than 500 members of our church family were sent on 35 trips to 16 locations around the world!

2013 put the “Gospel on Display” at Hunter Street.

Studying Romans 1:16-17, we were reminded that the gospel is the power of God for salvation, calling believers to live as ambassadors for Christ!

Throughout the year, our focus was on making the gospel visible in both word and action.

The generosity of our church family provided Proclaimer audio players to reach people around the world, allowing the Mandinka people of Senegal to hear the Word of God in their own language for the first time!
