“Paige at Kid's Market called at 5pm on Thursday evening, September 3rd. She was literally in tears from all the awesome help she got from our Food Rescue Representatives who picked up the clothing donations and helped them clean out the building.

She said there was no way they would have been able to handle everything and be out of the building on time Friday without help. Huge shout out to Jeff, Ron, Caleb, Roger and Chuck who picked all the clothing up.

And another shout out to Jeff, Roger, Josh, Ben, Allison, Jason, Chuck, and Bailey because it took all of them to unload the massive blessing!” - Laurie O’Berry, Food Rescue Coordinator

The heart of a servant never wavers. 🙏🤍

Two weeks ago, GKC volunteer Brent texted saying he would be out for a while. Yesterday, he stopped by to surprise our team with homemade salsa and shared his text to us had been sent from an ICU bed.

Even while walking through a serious health battle and continuing to heal, Brent showed up to love and bless us. Please join our community in lifting Brent up in prayer for complete healing, strength, and comfort.

We love you, Brent! Thank you for reminding us what true servant leadership looks like.

We are so happy to share the we are once again partnering with Carver Jones Market!!

Linda visited their beautiful new location at 873 Dennison Avenue, Birmingham, AL, and had the pleasure of catching up with owner James Harris. He is excited to re-establish our partnership and we could not be happier to work together again!

The new location opened yesterday. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue rescuing surplus food from Carver Jones Market. We previously rescued from the former location which closed last fall.

Meet some of the beautiful ladies of the American Red Cross! We are excited to continue strengthening our partnership! 💪🏾 We are committed to collaboration and sharing resources and services to our community.

We look forward to supporting each other in the day to day and also when emergency needs arise. We plan to meet quarterly to identify new opportunities to collaborate, support one another, and make an even greater impact in our community. Together, we can do more!
