In a world filled with competing voices, endless opinions, and countless paths to choose from, Jesus makes one of the most bold and comforting statements in all of Scripture:

"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

In John 14, Jesus speaks these words to His disciples during a moment of uncertainty and fear. As they wrestled with questions about the future, Jesus pointed them to the answer—not a philosophy, a system, or a set of rules—but Himself.

In this message, I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life, we explore what it means to trust Jesus as our guide, our source of truth, and the giver of abundant life. When life feels confusing, overwhelming, or uncertain, Christ offers a path we can follow, truth we can stand on, and life that never fades.

Whether you're searching for direction, seeking answers, or looking to deepen your faith, this message reminds us that Jesus is not merely showing us the way—He is the Way.

Join us as we discover the hope, confidence, and peace that come from following Christ.

VBS 2026 is a wrap, and what a week it was! Our kids explored, laughed, made new friends, and grew in their faith, and we are so proud of every one of them.

A huge thank you to Kristi Rodgers, April Hubbard, and the rest of our VBS Directors for their vision and dedication in making this week come alive. And thank you to every volunteer who showed up and gave their time and energy all week long. You are so appreciated.

One more thing worth celebrating: our kids collected over 4,000 food items for our Backpack Ministry food drive. That's not a small number; that's our children choosing to care for their neighbors. We love this community.

Check our Riverchase Children’s Ministry page to see lots more photos of our week!

Some of Jesus’ statements are inspiring. Others are challenging. And some make you stop and say, “The what and the what?!?!”

In John 11:1–44, Jesus arrives at the tomb of Lazarus and makes one of His most astonishing declarations:

“I am the resurrection and the life.”

This isn’t just a promise about the future—it’s a statement about who Jesus is right now. In the middle of grief, disappointment, confusion, and what seemed impossible, Jesus revealed His power over death itself.

In this message, The What and the What?!?!, we explore what it means for Jesus to be both the Resurrection and the Life. When hope seems buried, when prayers seem unanswered, and when circumstances feel beyond repair, Jesus reminds us that He specializes in bringing life where others only see endings.

Whether you're facing a difficult season, wrestling with doubt, or looking for hope in the middle of uncertainty, this message points us to the One who still calls dead things to life.

Join us as we discover how the power of Christ transforms our perspective, strengthens our faith, and reminds us that no situation is beyond His reach.

The John Ray Challenge.

John Ray loved Worship! He loved Sundays. Always arrived early.

John put a premium on doing anything possible to be sure he was there on Sunday.

There were times that John was literally in the hospital the week before worship, but would tell me he’d be there. Some of those times, I thought it was wishful thinking. There was a time that he was still in the hospital on a Saturday - still told me he’d be there. I don’t know how he convinced the Doctors to release him, but he did. He was present and early as usual.

With all this in mind, Karen Ray has issued everyone a challenge - the John Ray Challenge. Simply put, she is challenging everyone to show up this Sunday, which would have been John’s Birthday!

I hope you’ll accept the challenge!

In John 10:11–18, Jesus makes another powerful declaration about His identity: “I am the good shepherd.” Unlike a hired hand who runs when danger comes, the Good Shepherd knows His sheep, cares for them deeply, and willingly lays down His life for them.

In this message, I AM the Good Shepherd, we explore the personal and sacrificial love of Jesus. He doesn't lead from a distance—He walks with us, protects us, guides us, and calls us by name. In a world filled with competing voices and constant uncertainty, Jesus offers a relationship built on trust, security, and grace.

Whether you're facing a difficult season, searching for direction, or simply longing to know God more deeply, this message reminds us that we are not navigating life alone. The Good Shepherd sees us, knows us, and faithfully leads us.

Join us as we discover what it means to recognize the Shepherd's voice, trust His guidance, and rest in His care.

Who or what are you allowing to lead your life?

In John 10:1–10, Jesus uses the image of a shepherd and his sheep to reveal an important truth about Himself: “I am the gate.” Through this powerful statement, Jesus shows that He is the way to safety, freedom, and abundant life.

In this message, I AM the Gate, we explore what it means to enter through Christ instead of searching for fulfillment and security in other places. Jesus doesn’t just point us toward life—He becomes the doorway to it.

This passage reminds us that His voice brings clarity, His protection brings peace, and His presence leads us into a life marked by purpose and hope.

Whether you’re new to faith, searching for direction, or wanting to grow deeper in your walk with God, this message will encourage you to trust the One who opens the way to true life.

Join us as we discover how Jesus invites us into a relationship that is secure, life-giving, and full of grace.

A message from our incoming Senior Pastor.

We are so excited to welcome Pastor Tyler Christiansen back to Riverchase. He begins in July, and he comes with a deep love for this church and a heart for everyone in it: our children and youth, our families, our longtime members, and those who have joined us since he was last here. We look forward to all that God has in store for Riverchase.

Welcome back, Tyler.

This past Sunday, our church family welcomed 12 new members through confirmation, and we couldn't be prouder!

Each of these young people has spent months studying their faith, asking hard questions, and making a courageous decision to claim it as their own. For each of them, this is just the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith, and what a beautiful beginning it is.

We are so grateful for the families who have walked alongside them, the mentors who have poured into them, and the community that continues to grow. Please join us in celebrating these 12 and lifting them up in prayer as they take this next step.
