Hoosick Area Church Association

Hoosick Area Church Association HACA exists to serve those in need in our community through food distribution, tax preparation, and a HACA is an all volunteer organization.

The Hoosick Area Church Association is a 501(C)3 organization comprised of 8 churches in the Town of Hoosick who work together to meet the needs of the people in a manner that dignifies and strengthens the individual, the family and the community. Some of the ministries that take place throughout the year are the Food Pantry (on-going), VITA Income Tax Prep, Emergency Services, Christian Action Aw

ard, Health Center Services, Back-2-School Boost, Holiday Baskets, Good Friday Walk, National Day of Prayer Service and Baccalaureate. Churches who are involved include All Saints Episcopal, Hoosick Falls Community Alliance, Cornerstone Fellowship, Hoosick Falls Baptist, Immaculate Conception, St. Mark's Episcopal, Hoosick Baptist, and West Hoosick Baptist.

September is recognized as Hunger Awareness month in Rensselaer County.

On September 19th from 10AM-2PM there will be a food drive right at the HACA food pantry 26 John St. Hoosick Falls, NY

Rensselaer County is officially declaring September as Hunger Action Month!

A formal proclamation will be presented this September, recognizing the deep impact of food insecurity right here in our community.

This recognition comes at a critical time. The number of clients utilizing the services of the HACA Food Pantry continues to climb. More and more local families are relying on us to put meals on the table, and we are working harder than ever to meet that need.

On September 19th from 10AM-2PM there will be an on site food drive at 26 John St. Hoosick Falls, NY

The Food Pantry will be open to accept non-perishable items.

BENNINGTON — Greater Bennington Community Services (GBCS) in partnership with Remote Area Medical (RAM) will hold their fourth-annual free pop-up dental, vision and medical clinic this weekend, August 8 and

The volunteers at the food pantry have been busier than usual.

July 2026 saw a 35% increase in pantry usage compared to July of 2025.

The pantry is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation.

Monetary donations allow the pantry to buy food from the Regional Food Bank at a reduced cost.

Food donations are also welcome.

Congratulations Erin Conety, the recipient of the Christian Action Award for 2026. JD Milton, Pastor of The West Hoosick Church presented the award on behalf of HACA at the 2026, Baccalaureate. Thank you Hoosick Fall Community Alliance Church & Jonathan Youngman for hosting. Thank you to Mary Rosmus, Hector and Lydia Meza, Dottie Cross, Lisa Moseley, Gail Smith, the representatives from the Gideons who provided valuable parts to the service. Thsnk you to the family and friends who supported the 2026 graduates.
