Hooper to Ukraine!!! April 25 - May 7
Dear Sisters,
For our 2nd annual walking challenge, we have chosen to walk for Ukraine! We calculated how many miles it is from Hooper to Ukraine and came up with a goal of 5,853 miles. We would like to work together as a Stake to accomplish this goal. If you are unable to walk, you can do an act of service, or make a donation of the items needed.
1 mile walked/run/biked = 5 miles to Ukraine.
1 service/donation = 10 miles to Ukraine.
Please report your miles daily to your Ward contact person.
The three items we will be gathering are: New, any color t-shirts, socks, and underwear. We will need these for men, women, youth, and children. To make it so we get a good variety of sizes and gender, each Ward is assigned a specific size and gender –
1st Ward-adult men's socks, t-shirts, and underwear
2nd Ward-adult women's socks, t-shirts, and underwear
3rd Ward-Youth boy’s socks, t-shirts, and underwear
4thh Ward-youth girl’s socks, t-shirts, and underwear
Lakeview Ward-little boy’s socks, t-shirts, and underwear
Shannondoah Ward-little girl’s socks, t-shirts, and underwear
Park Ward-adult men's socks, t-shirts, and underwear
Quail Meadows Ward-adult women's socks, t-shirts, and underwear
Homestead Ward-youth girl’s socks, t-shirts, and underwear
We will accept donations up until Saturday, May 7th. A donation bin is available outside at each of the Stake Relief Society Presidency’s homes.
At 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, May 7th, we will gather at the Stake Center to walk 1 Last Mile all together. There will be snacks along the trail to enjoy. We will come back to the Stake Center and assemble all of the donated items into kits and have a delicious lunch.
