Konkō Missions in Hawaiʻi　金光教ハワイ・センター

Founded in 1971, the Konkō Missions in Hawaiʻi (KMH) is the Hawaiʻi Diocese office for the sectarian Shintō sect of Konkōkyō with six statewide churches.

The Konkō Missions in Hawaiʻi (KMH) is the Hawaiʻi Diocese office for the sectarian Shintō sect of Konkōkyō. This is the official Konkō Missions in Hawaiʻi FaceBook Page. KMH originated from the Konkō Churches of America, and was recognized by the State of Hawaiʻi in 1971. The KMH presently consists of six churches: Honolulu, Hilo, Waipahu, Wahiawa, Hanapēpē and Wailuku. Supporting Konkōkyō believers and churches in Hawaiʻi, the KMH plans and hold conferences, gatherings, study groups, youth camps, and workshops, as well as publishes the "Malamalama Newsletter."

We were truly blessed and honored to welcome Rev. Hiromichi Konko, the 6th Spiritual Head of Konkokyo (Konko Sama), and his family to Hawaiʻi for the Konko Missions in Hawaii Centennial Celebration. 🌺

To have Konko Sama with us as we celebrated 100 years of faith in Hawaiʻi made this historic occasion even more special. We are deeply grateful for the time we were able to spend together, the warm fellowship shared, and the many wonderful memories created during their visit.

As we look toward the next 100 years, may we continue to carry forward the faith and prayers of those who came before us, serving Kami-Sama and the people of Hawaiʻi with gratitude.
