Calvary by the Sea Montessori School has been a Montessori school since 1978. Our program has the highest Montessori recognition from AMI for ages 3 through 6. AMI ensures adherence to Maria Montessori's pedagogical principles and practices, through school consultation, continuing education for teachers, and educational materials for parents. The Montessori curriculum offers a hands-on approach to

learning through self-discovery and interacting with others with grace. We offer a nurturing environment for children to grow and develop into self-aware, independent human beings. We operate out of Calvary by the Sea Lutheran church, whose beautiful campus is steps from the ocean. Gardens with a variety of plants, produce, and herbs as well as a vermicast system are a part of the classroom curriculum. Our hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 pm., offering both half and full-day programs. We encourage parents interested in viewing the school to call ahead to the school office to arrange a school tour at (808) 377-5104.
