Let’s gather to worship Christ 1045 am

“Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord. Peace in heaven and glory in the highest heaven!”

This Palm Sunday we celebrate the One who rode into Jerusalem to die for our sins and rise in victory — and we do it as a church family marking 75 years of God’s faithfulness in the heart of Makiki.

Pastor Dalton will bring us home on his series on the Five Solas with “Soli Deo Gloria” — Glory to God Alone — from Romans 11:33-36.

There’s no better way to mark 75 years than to declare that every bit of it belongs to Him.

Who is Annie of the "Annie Armstrong Easter Offering"

Born in Baltimore, Maryland at a time when women had few opportunities, became an unstoppable force for missions. 💪✨

She organized women to pray, to give, and to meet needs wherever they saw them. She challenged pastors and churches to take action and rallied support for missionaries across North America. 🇺🇸✝️

Her legacy still fuels the mission today.

A gospel story across 14 villages 🌿🇧🇷

As we pray into a new year, join us in praying for Mitchell and Liz Heinz—IMB missionaries who have spent more than a decade sharing the gospel with a Northeastern Brazilian tribe spread across 14 villages.

Since 2012, they’ve returned faithfully—building friendships and sharing God’s Word through Chronological Bible Storying. For years, fear of tribal leaders kept people from following Christ. But God opened a door through Mara (the only believer at the time), and soon Mor and her husband Osvaldo became key leaders in forming an indigenous church.

That young church faced real persecution—one couple even lost their jobs because of their faith. Yet the believers responded with prayer and compassion. When their persecutor, Sue, experienced a crisis, they prayed for her—and God answered. Her son was found safe, and her heart softened.

Today there is more openness to the gospel than when the Heinzs first arrived—and they’ve now passed leadership to national partners who continue the work.

Because of the Cooperative Program, churches like ours help sustain gospel work like this around the world.

• for continued openness across the villages
• for faithful national leaders as they carry the work forward
