Flynn Reef is a popular dive site due to its excellent visibility. It’s located about 60 kilometers offshore from Cairns, Queensland, Australia. 🇦🇺 🐨⁣⠀
⁣⠀
•This relatively small island is home to an abundance of fish and coral species, and possesses a beautifully fertile marine life environment. But there’s a reason for that! And it has to do with the Great Barrier Reef Management Plan.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
•Flynn Reef is a Conservation Park (yellow) Zone. This means that spearfishing, the commercial collection of coral, aquarium fish and beachworm are all outlawed. 🚫🛑⁣
⁣⠀
• Lucky for us, activities allowed at Flynn Reef include diving, boating, anchoring, photography, limited line fishing, trolling and limited collecting. 🤙🏻🌊🙌🏻⁣⠀
