We're starting a new sermon series on 2 Samuel at SJBC!

The book of 2 Samuel tells the story of David—Israel’s greatest king, a man after God’s own heart, and a shadow of the greater King to come. Through his victories, failures, and restoration, we see how God works through flawed people to accomplish his perfect purposes.

We’re beginning with “When God Raises Up a Man” (2Sam. 1-4), where the kingdom of Israel stands in the ruins of Saul’s collapse. While power lies within reach, David waits on the Lord. Through grief, loyalty, and conflict, God quietly shapes the heart of his chosen king.

Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:15 as we discover how God forms character in hidden seasons before entrusting his people with greater influence, and how the story of David ultimately points us to the true and better King, Jesus!

Our new sermon series in the book of Titus starts tomorrow. We'd love to see you at 10:15am!

God’s design for the church isn’t complicated—but it’s powerful. In a culture that’s skeptical of truth and allergic to authority, Paul’s short letter to Titus shows us what happens when God’s people live out their faith together in everyday life. A healthy church is both grounded in sound doctrine and overflowing with good works. This is what happens when grace gets to work!
