On Sunday, April 26, Main Street celebrated with Pastor Beverly Hughes and husband Wayne, as we said “thank you” for the blessings they have shared with us over the past few years. Bev has faithfully and generously served this church by leading us in worship two Sundays a month and acting as session moderator for this time. She also led the congregation in the Sacrament of Communion. In addition, she has conducted both the Sacrament of Baptism (Vivian Laine Navarro) and a Celebration of Life (Ricky Snell) as she shared in the lives of our church family.

We will miss both Bev and Wayne but wish them well in the next stage of their Christian journey. We pray for them as they continue to share the Word and spread neighborly love in their new community.

Main Street Presbyterian Church is regretfully canceling all activities for this morning, February 23, due to issues with the heating. Please join us next Sunday at 10:00 am for Sunday School, 10:30 am for fellowship, and 11:00 am for worship service.

The red rose on the sanctuary pulpit this morning was in honor of the birth of Fannin Glenn Ohr on June 8, 2024. Fannin is the son of JR and Morgan Ohr and grandson of Ann Ohr and the late Richard Ohr. Fannin also has two big sisters (Waverly and Palmer) to help take care of him.

The rose in the sanctuary today was in honor of the birth of Benjamin Lee Farley, son of Errin and Brooke Farley and little brother of Eli on July 2, 2024, in Paris, Texas. Benjamin was 7lb, 11 oz and 20 in long. Proud grandparents are Jerry and Monica Adams and great grandparents Bob Milford and the late Pat Milford.

“Thank you for serving us this morning,” said one of the players as soon as he walked through the door. For the next thirty minutes, gratitude was expressed by every football player and cheerleader in attendance, not just once but multiple times. Oh, young men and women, THANK YOU for letting us have the pleasure!

MSPC also wants to thank representatives from First Baptist and Westside Baptist for helping out this EARLY morning. We enjoyed the fellowship with you, too. It was a good morning! GO WARRIORS! 🧡🤍
