Good evening Cedarbrook campers and staff! It’s that time of the week and we are thrilled to announce another CILT graduate joining our team, Kitt!!


1) what is your best camp memory?
My BEST camp memory was during my trailblazer year when I completed my whole verse card and dumped an entire bottle of ketchup on my Mom, Mot-Mot, who absolutely HATES ketchup! It was epic. And because nothing will ever live up to that moment - I haven’t done a verse card since 😜

2) what Bible verse is your favorite?
Jeremiah 29:11

3) how you came to choose your bird name?
As a girl who loves the water, I wanted to choose some type of seabird. When I was researching and stumbled across a Kittlitz’s Murrelet, I immediately knew I had to choose it and go by Kitt because my very first American Girl doll was Kitt Kittredge! I think Kitt is such a cute name and fits me so well!

4) something weird/different/out of ordinary we all should know about you?
I LOVE doing puzzles and could spend hours sitting and working on one. Something about it makes me feel so productive and accomplished!

Good afternoon Cedarbrook camp! We are excited to announce our second CILT graduate, Jaeger, and welcome him to the flock.

1) what is your best camp memory?
I think my best camp memory was my second year of Chex where we all were out at the island having that amazing cookout

2) what Bible verse is your favorite? My favorite Bible verse would have to be Romans 8:28, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose

3) how you came to choose your bird name?
I was looking through a book of birds located in North America, and I saw the bird Jaeger and I thought it was very cool

4) something weird/different/out of ordinary we all should know about you?
I like doing all of sorts of tricks, I can juggle, pogo stick, roll a coin on my knuckles, etc.

Goodmorning Cedarbrook midatlantic! We want to kick off our feathered friends friday with our recent Cilt grads and starting us off is Turtle! 

1) what is your best camp memory?
My favorite camp memory was when we had a pretty bad storm one day with pouring rain and my cabin had left our shoes on the porch that morning to dry. When we were all in the dining hall getting out of the rain, we realized we had left our shoes. We all yelled, “our shoes” and ran back to the cabin to save them but it was too late, they were soaked. It was so funny and our cabin had a great laugh together!

2) what Bible verse is your favorite?
My favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9 because I feel like it applies to so many areas of my life and has really helped me overcome challenges and fears of mine these past couple years.

3) how you came to choose your bird name?
I chose my bird name mainly because of what it stands for. A turtle dove signifies love which is what I want to show and spread at camp. My moms favorite animal is a sea turtle so that was a plus!

4) something weird/different/out of ordinary we all should know about you?
My main sport/hobby is horseback riding! I work at a Hunter/jumper barn and lease my horse Quinn.

Dear Cedarbrook Community,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Quail/Paula Worden, our beloved Cedarbrook Camp Executive Director, mentor, and friend to so many within the Cedarbrook family.

Quail/Paula served as the Executive Director of Cedarbrook Camp Mid-Atlantic for almost 30 years, where she poured her heart into the ministry of camp and into the lives of the children, families, and staff she served. Her leadership was marked by a deep love for people, a commitment to Christian ministry, and a desire to see each person experience the joy and community that makes camp so special.

For those who knew Quail/Paula, she was much more than a leader. She was someone who cared deeply, encouraged others, welcomed people with warmth, and helped campers and staff create deeper relationships with the Lord. Her influence reached far beyond the responsibilities of her position, touching generations of campers and staff to this day.

Please join us in remembering Quail/Paula and be praying for her family, friends, and all those who loved and worked alongside her. May we honor her memory by continuing the work she cared so deeply about—creating a place where young people can grow in faith, build lasting friendships, serve others, and experience the love of Christ.

We are grateful for Paula’s life, her service, and the lasting mark she made on Cedarbrook.

Last but certainly not least our CHEX division challengers and explorers!! These are our oldest campers from ages 13-18 are younger campers certainly look up to them. This was our biggest division for week two!! For our girls cabin counselors we had Tawney, Rocko, Parula, and Storm as support staff. On the boys side for cabin counselors we had Whip, Wag, Robin, and Scrub. Big shout out to our boys CHEX counselors as a lot of them we new birds to the cedarbrook family.
