Hondofbc Worship Choir What comes to mind when you think about Worship? Our worship is sincere, and we lift praise to our Maker, from the depths of our hearts.

Most people think about coming to a church to join together with others of like faith, to sing and give praise to God. Others may think that they can only worship God in a more natural setting, like a forest, or up on a mountain top. But God teaches us in His word, that worship is not dependent on a place, a song, or the presence of other people. When Jesus returned to Heaven, and gave us the Holy

Spirit to be our counsel, He reminded us that “God is Spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). God desires to “inhabit the praise of His people”, and the only way He can do that, is if we truly worship Him…with all our hearts…with all our souls…and with all our minds. At First Baptist Church of Hondo, we strive for our worship to be totally focused and centered on the Father, Savior, and Encourager of our souls. Worship occurs when our minds, hearts, and strength converge in order to praise God. We worship God by reading His word…by listening to His word being taught…by serving with our spiritual gifts…by giving to His church….and by lifting our prayers to the One who loves us more than we can ever comprehend. You see, the true definition of “worship” is, “Our response to God for Who He is, and what He has done in our lives”.

Hey guys! Have you seen our new church logo??? As you probably know by now, lots of things are in the change mix here at FBCHondo - Some really awesome changes are coming and things couldn't be better! Check out our updated website too! Now, remember that Choir Practice resumes this Sunday. We recently decided to move Choir Practice to Sunday afternoons at 1:30pm; it's proven to be a smart move, and I think we'll see lots of fruit come from it. And finally - this Sunday is a big day - KICKOFF SUNDAY - and we need a full choir loft. So come Sunday morning with your best singing voice - I promise you know all the songs - nothing new, and no specials. Love you guys! See ya there!

*** Community Choir will Resume Thursday, May 2nd. ***

The Hondo Area Ministerial Alliance is hosting a community Independence Day Celebration to close out the holiday weekend, on Sunday evening, July 7th. They've asked the Community Choir to sing. Rehearsal will be Thursday evenings at 6:30pm at HondoFBC. Let's do some recruiting!
