Our September 6th Door Offering at St. John’s is designated to support the students in the upcoming holiday season at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.

Founded in 1839, Concordia trains Pastors, Deaconesses, Chaplains, and Missionaries exclusively for The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

With the upcoming holiday season quickly approaching, this is our opportunity to participate in their annual CSL Christmas Gift Program by providing gifts to the students and their families at this special time of year. This is to encourage the stewardship of God’s gifts!

We are asking for monetary donations by September 6th.

Your gifts encourage the students and bring joy to them, making the holidays memorable in many ways.

MOST Ministries
St. John’s August 2nd Door Offering will be given to the MOST Scholarship Fund which makes it possible for more Goers to afford a mission trip.

Mission Opportunities Short Term (MOST) Ministries (RSO of LCMS) connects, trains, and sends short-term mission teams throughout the world, in response to requests from missionaries and church bodies. MOST Ministries primary core value is to be Gospel-centered.

MOST Ministries is committed to impacting the world for Jesus Christ through short term missions by empowering the found in reaching the lost. They have sent a variety of teams to 50 countries. Types of teams range from agricultural, construction, eyeglass clinics, VBS, water, music/sports camps, and more.

The ministry involves three types of people:

GOERS join a short-term mission trip to minister to spiritual and physical needs of others.

SENDERS contribute time, talent, and treasure to support teams.

RECEIVERS include the missionaries or local church hosts who request a team, and the people of the communities served. (MOST Ministries team serve about 10,000 individuals a year.)
