It may still be a few months away, but behind the scenes, preparations for our annual St. George Greek Festival have already begun! So much love, time, and hard work goes into bringing our festival to life each year. From the homemade Greek food and desserts prepared by our own community, to the music, dancing, organizing, and countless details in between, it truly takes a village. 💙 We’re working hard to make this year’s festival one to remember, and we can’t wait to welcome you!

On September 8, our Orthodox Church celebrates the birth of the Most Holy Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. Born to Saints Joachim and Anna after many years of prayer, the birth of the Panagia brought great joy and hope to the world. Today we honor our Panagia with love and gratitude and ask for her prayers and protection over our families and our children. Χρόνια Πολλά to all who celebrate today! May the Panagia cover us all beneath her loving protection. Υπεραγία Θεοτόκε, σώσον ἡμᾶς.

Today was a beautiful day of creativity, laughter, and fellowship! Our St. George children of all ages, together with parents, Father Ioannis, & Presbytera Efrosini enjoyed a fun afternoon painting pottery. From mugs and plates to their own little works of art, everyone got to be creative, spend time together, and make some wonderful memories. We are grateful for days like these that bring our church family together.

Today, September 2, our Church honors the Holy Great Martyr Mamas (Άγιος Μάμας), a young shepherd whose unwavering love for Christ was stronger than fear and persecution. Though only a youth, St. Mamas lived with extraordinary courage and simplicity of heart, finding peace with God even in the wilderness among the animals. His life reminds us that holiness is not measured by age or worldly strength, but by the depth of our faith and the courage with which we remain faithful to Christ.
May St. Mamas intercede for us, protect our children and families, and inspire us to carry a gentle heart and a fearless faith through every trial. Χρόνια πολλά to all who celebrate today!

Today we honor Saint Penelope, one of the Forty Holy Women Martyrs, Virgins and Ascetics commemorated by our Church on September 1. In a beautiful coincidence, her feast falls on the first day of the Ecclesiastical New Year.
