Hollywood Branch February Summary
Our Ministry brought us God’s inspired uplifting messages, enjoy!
Keeping the Commandments of God.
What good thing would you do today? There are no short cuts, we need to keep God’s commandments. Short cuts will sometimes put you back at the beginning. We need to love our neighbors as ourselves. God died for us as a human. We need to have the love of God for each other, we have something so valuable to share with the world. Not everything is going to be solve with material things. Sometimes people would need a positive message, uplifting.
Song: The world needs a friend like Jesus. The world needs more good actions. Our path to a good life is one that is comprise of good factors. The Lord told us the way to be good, let’s follow His commandments. We God all things are possible!
Scriptural Reference: Mathew 19: 16. And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17. And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19. Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 20. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21. Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
We always need to take the opportunity to share the Gospel. The young man in the Scripture saw some good attribute in Christ. If people don’t understand where salvation comes from, they trust in their own selves. We have to be prepared for anything that God wants us to do and present the image of God.
Scriptural Reference: Same Paul writes to Titus. Be ready in every good word. But after the kindness and love of our savior towards man, salvation came through Jesus.
Life will knock you out! Our visiting Brother Joe Ignagni speaking…But Spiritually we have to take the stand and say I should not be moved. I will cling to the rod of iron, to the Church of Jesus Christ. The Lord wants us to hang on and believe, do not loose your faith. There’s an enemy to God that wants to destroy us but God is greater. God knows and guides you through life, He guides us through this life for our eternal life. Christ went on for 3 years teaching the disciples. When the Romans guards took Jesus, the disciples panic. Within hours Peter denied Jesus Christ. Christ rises from the grave and the news even touch doubting Thomas. All the disciples saw Him again and still they didn’t know what to do. They were lost, they loved Jesus they loved the Lord, but Jesus understood them. He then went on teaching them the final lessons.
We shall not be moved. We will stand on the rock. The Church of Jesus Christ.
Scriptural Reference: James 1: 5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Psalms 16:7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. 8. I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Psalms 62: 1. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. 2. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
Acts 1:6. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7. And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11. Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
2: 1. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Our minds can be easily distracted. Just like our brother said sometimes we can be knocked out, and feel tossed around by life. We all have received the Holy Ghost when we rendered ourselves to Christ. Like the boxers everybody has a plan until you get punched in the face. We have our comforter, that gives us peace that surpass all understanding. We don’t have all the answers in life but we have the mind of the Father and the Son to guide us. Through the storms we have been fasten to the rock!
Subject
We need to be warrior. Our arm forces have trained soldiers. How do you think God feels about His army. Whatever is tossing us around, the mind of our Father is guiding us. He is the same God today as in the days of old. God is our refuge. God has designed that refuge within Jesus, is in Him!. Not just now through the pandemic but at all times. The power belongs unto God. All power is given to Him in heaven and earth. He will destroy all evil works. God sees all things, everything has been prophesied. God had to suffer all things, He was not moved. Let’s take courage in bearing the word of God, don’t let anything bother you.
Like our bro. Joe Ignagni said last Sunday, Life will knock you down! This week on Thursday February 18th early in the morning, sadly our Church building was vandalized, we are thankful to God that the fire was contained to the front and foyer of the building, we are thankful to all the brothers, sisters and friends who came by and helped and for all the donations.
On Saturday February 20th, we gathered at the back of the Church under a tent for our final goodbyes to our dear brother Dennis Moraco. Many beautiful testimonies, experiences and precious memories were shared along with pictures.
Today, Sunday the 21st. We met at our building with the doors and windows open because of the air quality after the fire. Many of the members were in zoom.
Our visitors: Bro. Tony Moraco and family, Bro. Bryan Griffith and Family, our friend Carlos.
There are needs in our lives always. We need to bring them to the altar. We need to seek the Glory of God. To go to a higher place we need to leave the valley. In Mark 9:1 He references to some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. The promises of God stand true, there are some Saints that passed on and saw their rewards, we are yet to see all Gods power. There’s an upward pull to serve the Lord and want to see the Glory of God in a greater way or a downward pull where we stay in the valley. Are we willing to go with Him! Understand the Lord Jesus is leading you. We need to be willing to take the first step and the Lord will follow. The Joy of the journey is that we don’t know what’s going to happen, but the Lord has it under control. We see things differently. The brother of Jared exercised great faith. Are we stronger today than we were yesterday, yes we are. Challenges always makes us grow. We wonder why all of Jesus disciples were not there through His transfiguration. Our Lord lets us adjust to our life’s climb. We need to aim to be one of the three, to grow higher Spiritually. We need to leave our fears, and concerns.
Our faith is being challenged today, are we willing to follow Him? We get comfortable being in the same spot. God will always meet our efforts we make for Him. He always calls us to climb. God will reveal all He has for you and the things He wants from you.
Scriptural Reference: Mark 9: 1. And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. 2. And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
Ether 3 Brother of Jared.
God gives us choices. To climb the mountain or go the other way. The young man that Jesus asked to give all he had to the needy and follow Him, this young man was carrying things on him, not material things but spiritual things that was holding him back from climbing higher with the Lord, and chose the other path sorrowfully. Trust in God to guide and protect you! Job went through so much in His life but chose to follow the Lord. Lazarus’ death showed the Glory of God, when they rolled the stone and we a loud voice Jesus called Lazarus to come forth. Christ commanded to untied him. Is time to let go of the things that will bind you! Jesus unbind us from the things that we carry. We think is heavy but as we put them down and off we will see the Glory of God as we climb. Is time to stop settling for the things in the valley and hope for more as we climb. Our challenges today are there to clear the path for the young ones coming. Let’s climb higher where the Glory and Power awaits!
Words of the Lord brought through brother John. Thus saith the Lord, do you see what I see? Can you see it? Are your your eyes open to see what I see ? The choice is yours! Know that all that I have caused to be written will be performed. Thus saith the Lord.
Scriptural Reference: John 11:40-44
Are we stronger today! We challenge ourselves when we compare ourselves to others. Let’s climb higher.
The Lord is knocking! The Lord is inviting us to follow Him. He has given us a way to come in. This is not a one time thing, it’s forever. How many times do we plead to our Lord to rescue us. We need to support each other, calling, visiting, helping. There are people that are idled, we need to accept Jesus Christ fully. God is a forgiving God, is wonderful when we let Jesus into our lives. When Jesus comes and resides with you, how problems scattered, new ways open. Our soul will delight in fatness through Jesus Christ. You will have so many good testimonies, we will be able to write a book. We need to share our testimonies on the people we meet. Our seeds will be harvest by the Lord. We will feel our seed start to sprout, let it be a good fruit tree, that will branch out. The Gospel is about bringing Good tidings! He will strengthen and bring us through anything, let’s continue to open the door unto the Lord, so we will be a light and encouragement to the world. The Gospel brings joy, and fulfillment to our lives.
Scriptural Reference: Revelations 3:20. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Mark 4 The parable of the sower.
Jesus is always waiting for that knock. When we pray, He is already there, knowing what we will say or ask. Christ is not looking for temporary stay. He is omnipresent. He can reside in His Spirit with me and someone else at the same time. We can’t be in two places at the same time, but He can be anywhere, anytime. Nothing should stop us from anticipating the outpouring of His Spirit. Christ is always watching we are never alone. We always want to answer the door to our Lord Jesus, and hear that small tapping.
Our dear friend and future brother Carlos, answered the call and will be baptized next week March 7th.
