This is the Day the Lord has made so REJOICE and be glad in this day!
No matter the outcome, this is still a day God has made.
And tomorrow no matter the outcome, the birds will still sing, the dogs will still bark, the water will still flow to the sea, and your family will still be your family (hopefully- and if they aren’t over an election, shame on them and if you cut off family because they don’t agree with you shame on you)
You have done your job, you researched, you sought truth, you voted. For many, you prayed. Now ACTUALLY TRUST GOD.
And for you believers out there no
matter WHAT side you stand with, do not forget that the Bible CLEARLY instructs us in that no authority is given on earth unless appointed by God.
1 Pet 2:13-17
“Be subject to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether to the king, as supreme; or unto governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evil-doers and for praise to them that do well. For so is the will of God, that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: as free, and not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as bondservants of God. Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.”
Peter wrote these words while under subjection to the pagan Romans.
Paul writing from Corinth instructed the Roman believers
“Let every soul be in subjection to the higher powers: for there is no power that has not been given by God; and the powers that exist are ordained of God. Therefore he that resists authority, resists the ordinance of God: and they that withstand shall receive judgment. For rulers are not a terror to those that do good, but rather to those that do evil…. For he is a minister of God for your good.
Rom 13:1-4
We are reminded of this truth by the story of Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon who took Israel captive and plundered Jerusalem and the Holy Temple yet God called him His servant.
Paul admonished Titus while he lived in an ungodly land filled with persecutions
“Settle it in your mind to be in subjection to all rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,”
Titus 3:1
And let’s not forget that Jesus instructed His followers to “give unto Caesar what is Caesars” clearly admonishing them to be subject to the authority of the Land.
I hear Christians all the time say they don’t have to obey the law of the land if the leaders are ungodly… which is one of the most ignorant statements a bible believing Christian can make!
Were the Roman leaders of Jesus and the disciple’s day godly? Were the Greeks of Paul’s day godly? Or the Babylonian King that plundered Israel and ruled God’s people?
Absolutely not. That means there is not a caveat to which you may divert.
With whom do you put your trust? God or man? Is a president in charge of your days? Does he or she count the hairs on your head? Do they hold your breath in their hands? No they do not. So why do you trouble your souls with the cares of this world?
Why do you expect your joy, your peace your protection to come from the things of this earth?
These are things that nonbelievers occupy themselves with. Yet I’ve seen unbelievers panic less than most believers recently.
Trust God. Be at peace. Stop expecting the government to be the answer. God is the answer and HE holds the keys! Not Harris, not Trump!
Yes you are to do your part and you are to vote and we are to stand for righteousness and for what we believe to be truth. But you are not to wring your hands and participate in the worry, stress or negative behaviors that have surfaced from these elections.
And how about this…YOU ARE NOT 100% RIGHT. Stop acting like you know everything. You don’t. Neither side does.
If God has chosen Trump, then he will win. If he has chosen Harris, she will and theres not a thing you can do about it. So don’t lose your fruit over this. Don’t discard your love joy peace patience and kindness.

Finally, stop believing and repeating all the hyperbole and rhetoric.
The US will not cease to be a country if Kamala Harris becomes president. We are better than that. We are stronger than that.
In the same token, Democracy won’t be destroyed and people will not become political prisoners if Trump wins (and NO he will not be using the project 2025 playbook)
This is all politically engineered hype to get you all worked up. You have been hoodwinked by the media. Because drama sells.
Now I do agree that one president could possibly usher in World War 3 and the other will help to bring peace.
But even then, God has a plan.
And can you stop what God has put in place?
So take a deep breath and actually be who you are called to be and do what you are called to do and walk how you are called to walk…worthy of your calling.
And love your neighbor as yourself. Love the one who differs from you politically. Jesus said what good is it if we just love those who love us. It is greater to love someone that’s hard to love. So if you’re a republican, go hug a liberal 😂 and vice versa.
