Doubt, fear, and living purely by physical senses or personal control come naturally to us, but faith is a gift from God that transforms our lives from the inside out. When we face unexpected difficulties and unexpected moments we wouldn’t choose to go through, it’s not a picture of a God who has forgotten us; rather, He is working as the ultimate craftsman, using the everyday circumstances of our lives to mold us into people who truly live by radical, God-centered faith. 🤍

Every day you need it. You and I simply can’t live without it. What is it? The indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. 🕊️
So many of us try to live the Christian life by “gutting it out”—trying to identify sin, cut it out on our own, and perform our way into a better, more biblical life. Trust me, I’ve tried it, and it doesn’t work. We mess up again and again.
We need the presence and power of the Holy Spirit living inside us because sin kidnaps our desires, blinds our eyes, and weakens our knees. God knew our need was so great that forgiveness wasn’t enough; He had to come and live inside us.
Romans 8:13 reminds us of this truth: “For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.”
✨ It is only by God’s grace and the convicting, sight-giving, desire-producing, and strength-affording presence of the Spirit that we can live the life we were reborn to do.

Contentment celebrates grace. When we are satisfied with the Giver, we are finally freed from craving the next gift. 🤍
Sin makes us self-focused scorekeepers and causes us to look horizontally at creation for what only God can provide. But true rest is found vertically—resting in Him alone.
✨ “Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.” (Psalm 73:25–26)

We tend to think we are “not so bad,” but Scripture teaches that sin is a massive disaster and God’s standard of perfection is infinitely high.
The hard truth is this: You could pray every moment, give away every penny, and live a life of perfect ministry, and it would never be enough to earn God’s favor. Sin is simply too big, and God’s bar is beyond our reach.
BUT, here is the amazing grace: While we were still sinners, God loved us and sent His Son. Romans 5:8 says, “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Our only portal to God is the righteousness of Jesus. It is credited to our account, not based on our obedience, but on the perfect obedience of another. We are welcomed into the presence of a holy God because of Him.
Because of this grace, we no longer obey out of desperate obligation to earn God’s favor. Instead, we obey as a joyful service of worship.
✨ Christ is our hope, our rest, and our peace.

If eternity is the plan, it makes no sense to shrink your living down to the needs and wants of this little moment. 🤍
It’s so easy to get lost in the day-to-day rush—traffic, temporary worries, immediate desires, and the stress of right now. Before we know it, our thoughts and emotions trick us into thinking the present moment is all that exists.
Today’s reading is a gentle nudge to lift our eyes upward. The Bible calls us to big-picture living, reminding us that we were made for eternity, not just temporary treasures. Thankfully, God’s grace meets our fickle, easily distracted hearts right where we are, giving us the focus we need to live with eternity in view.
