St. John’s Summer Program (SJSP) is hosting a one-day mattress sale to support an incredible cause.

All proceeds will help feed hungry children at our sponsored school in Chaone, Malawi.
Buy a mattress… and you can help feed several children for an entire year!

Don’t need a mattress?

You can still make a big impact.

Consider purchasing one to donate to St. Mary’s Ryken’s Caritas Program, which assists local families transitioning from homelessness to stable housing. Your donation can help provide a fresh start with dignity — including a bed to sleep on.

The St. John’s Gym will be transformed into a full showroom where you can test mattresses in person. With no retail overhead, prices are deeply discounted. All mattresses are made to order and shipped directly to your home, with white-glove delivery available.

Online registration for St. John's Summer Program 2026 opens Sunday, March 1st at 1:00pm. Many camps will fill within the first 20 minutes! Join us this summer!

St. John's Summer Program is a Catholic day camp located in Hollywood, MD. Our goal is to run a dynamic Catholic summer program that churns out fun and saints!  It's that simple.  Join us!

$27,000 raised! 1,070 children fed for an entire year! Congratulations to all of those involved... who put their hair and/or their brows on the line, and thank you to everyone who donated. Know that every $25.20 donated will feed a child for a year! This was our second-best year since we started the Eyebrow/Hair Challenge. In total, we raised $36,000 this summer for Mary's Meals, bringing our grand total raised for Mary's Meals over eight summers to $242,000! Well-done!

Good news! There's still time to add a sweet puppy to your family! Also, good news on the adoption progress. Adoptions are pending on Brielle (the dark brown one in the upper left corner of the photo), Apollo (the light brown in the lower left with the green collar), and Chunk (the black and white puppy not pictured below). That means the three light brown puppies to the right are still available and will be with us through Friday/Saturday when any unadopted puppies will be returned. Whether it's due to their rough early life before they were abandoned in a driveway in WV, or thanks to the constant love and affection shown to them by our campers and staff over the past two weeks, they have grown from shy, scared little pups with their ribs showing into super affectionate and grateful cuddle bugs who love to curl up for nap on a lap or roll over for a belly scratch. They are also doing incredibly well with basic commands and house training. They all make it through an 8-hour night without accidents and are excited to greet us in the morning for time outside, followed by breakfast. Please stop by camp or call us at 301-247-8683 to meet them... and please help us find homes for them by the end of the week. We'd like to thank everyone involved in our largest group of puppy adoptions since we launched Lucky Dog camp four years ago. God bless! SJSP Staff

6 puppies still looking for a loving, forever home! The campers in Lucky Dog Camp have been working on socializing them through an abundance of cuddles, pets, and hugs, and also teaching them basic commands. The puppies are all doing well with basic commands, house training, and sleeping through an 8-hour night in their crates, with nearly no accidents. The puppies are super sweet and affectionate. Are you interested in providing them with the security of a loving home? Maybe you'd like to keep a couple of them together! There are so many benefits to doing so, such as the exercise and activity they provide each other, as well as a decrease in separation anxiety when you leave. This is our last week of Lucky Dog, after which the puppies return to the rescue. If you'd like to meet them, please visit camp during business hours, or give us a call at 301-247-8683. A few of our puppies developed a respiratory infection and were treated with a visit to the vet. Fortunately, it's nothing serious and nothing that a round of antibiotics can't conquer. Thank you to All Kinds Veterinary Clinic in Callaway, and especially to Dr. Jen for seeing them on short notice and taking special care of them. These sweethearts are still available for adoption. Just stop by camp or call the St. John's Summer Program office (301-247-8683) to meet them.

A happy day for Eugenia! We drove her up to Upper Marlboro this morning to deliver her to her new family - Austin and Tiara from Towson. To make it extra special, it is Tiara's birthday. Eugenia has become a favorite and will make Tiara's birthday extra memorable. Thank you, Austin and Tiara, for providing Eugenia with a forever home!
