Prophetic perspective on trials by Chris McMahan:

2 Corithians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Suffering equips you for service.

The Lord is saying...
When you are afflicted and suffer, I come alongside you. This is part of My earthly ministry to you - to comfort. For you must remember, someday all things will be made right again; and on that day you will have no pain. And so, on that Day, My ministry of comfort during affliction will cease because I will wipe away every tear.

When I minister to you in your pain, receive what I have to offer. My comfort is both a cure and an investment. I AM a healing balm to your pain and fears; and I leave a deposit with you to be invested in the lives of others. Suffering prepares you for service. As I have come alongside of you - now you go and comfort others with the deposit I left in you.

Suffering is not a vain affliction, but rather an open door ministry. Will you receive My comfort today and join Me in ministry?

PRAYER: Dear God, We thank you for your comfort, even when we cannot thank you for the pain that causes us to need it. We thank you that you never leave us or forsake us, but come alongside us when we are hurting. Please show us who we can minister to today with the love and comfort you have deposited in us for that very purpose. Open our eyes to see the needs of others and to bring Your comfort to their lives. In Jesus name, Amen.

Prophetic Insight on trials by Chris McMahan:

Some suffering is birthed from disobedience.

1 Kings 9:6-9 But if you turn aside from following me, you or your children, and do not keep my commandments and my statutes that I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them, then I will cut off Isreal from the land that I have given them, and the house that I have consecrated for my name I will cast out of my sight, and Isreal will become a proverb and a byword among all the peoples. And this house will become a heap of ruins. Everyone passed by it will be astonished and will hiss, and they will say, "Why has the Lord done this to this land and to this house?" Then they will say, "Because they abandoned the Lord their God who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt and laid hold other gods and worshipped them and served them. Therefore the Lord has brought all this diasaster on them.

The Lord is saying...
When you turn aside from following Me; do not expect Me to follow you down the path of idols and disobedience.

You will suffer under this choice until you repent and return.

However, when you reprent, I AM ready to forgive, heal, and restore. I wait for you here, at the point where you turned aside-- much as the father of the prodigal waited for his son. I anticipate your return.

When you turn aside from following Me, you are choosing an exile of eventual suffering and destruction for yourself.
Repent and return.
Come back down the path to the place where your First Love awaits you...and I do wait because I AM merciful.
But do not test My Mercy. Only return and receive My Mercy.

PRAYER: Sweet and loving Father, we thank you today that Your mercies are new every morning. There is not a day in our lives when we cannot be reconciled, or re-reconciled to You. Forgive us our sins and our wanderings, Father. We repent and return to You. What can the world offer us in comparison to the Love you have already shown us. Thank you for always accepting us back. Thank you for your faithful mercy. In Jesus name, Amen.

Prophetic perspective on trials from Chris McMahan:

1Peter 1:6-9 In all this you greatly rejoice, though for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuiness of your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

The Lord is saying...
The trial you see now does not bring you joy; sickness and suffering will not bring you joy.
So, where will you find this joy?

There is an unseen process at work behind every hardship - My Kingdom advances and My Children are sanctified to look more and more like Me.

Find your joy in this unseen process.
Find your joy in the advancement of the Kingdom.
Find joy in repentance and santification.
These things bring Me joy.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, we thank you today for your great and precious promises. We thank You for using all things to mold us into your character, even hard things. We praise You for your loving work in our lives. We choose joy today because it brings You glory. Help us to embrace the joy available to us behind the veil of every suffering. We love you and we pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Prophetic Insights from Chris McMahan concerning trials:

1Peter 2:20-24 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth." When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made
no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. "He himself bore our sins" in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by his wounds you have been healed."

The Lord is saying...
There is suffering that brings glory and a suffering that does not.

When you suffer because of your own choice to sin, or because of despair, depression, self-pity, or fear...there is no glory potential hidden within this suffering. I cannot bless this suffering.

However, when you suffer because My Righteous call requires perserverance, or results in rejection, or creates physical discomfort,or causes you to gaze long and hard at discomfort of others, or keeps you in a place where you suffer from someone else's sin...when you suffer in this way, it brings My Favor down to earth.

There is a righteous suffering and a unrighteous suffering. You're called to suffer for the sake of Righteousness.

Will you trust Me in this even if it costs you're reputation? Or will you guard your reputation and forfeit your Reward.

You have everything you need to stand against the suffering that I cannot stand with; and all ability to stand in the suffering that I call you to.

I bore your sin on the tree, so that having died to them, you might live to righteousness.

PRAYER: Dear Father God, help us to see the places in our lives where we suffer needlessly. We repent from fear rooted in our circumstances, from self-pity, and from despair. We declare that our hope is in you! We trust you to plant us where You see fit, and we ask you to help us to be fruitful...even if it is painful. Give us strength, Father, to walk through trials of our own and with others, in a way that gives you glory. In Jesus name, Amen.

Prophetic Insights by Chris McMahan:

2 Corithians 1:3,8-9
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies an God of all comfort...For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead.

The Lord is saying...The burden of a trial may be so strong that you cannot bear up under it.

This is not to create despair, but dependence.

Whose yoke do you carry? If it is Mine, I carry it with you and you and do not bear it alone. I AM the God of all comfort - even if I bring the comfort to you in the midst of pain.

2 Corinthians 1:10 He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.

I have delivered you and I will deliver you!
If you look at what load you can carry, you will despair. Look to Me and trust My Strength. I will comfort you and I will bear the burden of the trial with you.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank you today that You are our Comforter, thank you Holy Spirit. We thank you that You are strong and we can depend on you. We come in complete dependence today, Father because we trust and love you; and we trust Your love for us and Your ability to deliver us. Thank you for Your precious promises. In Jesus name, Amen.

Another prophetic insight from Chris McMahan:
James 1:2-4 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

The Lord is saying...Trials are necessary for you to learn to perservere. Perverance is a necessary component of sanctification.

Find joy in being sanctified.

When you meet a trial head on, don't veer off the path to get around it. You must stay the course - speak to the trial until it's thrown into the sea. Make the trial move, but you stand your ground. Do not be moved by laziness, fear, or despair.

Be steadfast; and in your perserverance, you will be perfected.

PRAYER: Dear Father God, we thank you that the good works You have begun in us, You promise to complete. We repent from our complaints when we don't like the tools You choose to use to conform us to Your image. We come today, in joy, asking you to give us the courage to perservere; and trusting You that perfection and plenty lies at the end of the road You have us on. We love you Father. Thank You for the joy You give us during the journey. In Jesus name, Amen.

Prophetic Encouragement from Chris McMahan:

The Lord is saying...The weight of suffering you feel now is nothing when you compare it to the weight of glory you will feel as a result of your faithful perserverance.

2 Corinthians 4:17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.

There is a glory reward for those who suffer faithfully.

Do not lose hope.
Do not lose sight of the unseen.
Your Faithfulness is marvelous in My Eyes.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for your Heavenly perspective. Please help us to see the background of eternity with You on every page of our lives on Earth; lives that You generously give us to live. Thank You that You are a God who rewards. Help us not to forfeit our future glory in any effort to maintain a present comfort. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

The Lord gave Chris McMahan from our group some prophetic words and insights I'm going to share with you in this season to encourage us that God is near us and He wont leave us in this intense season.

The Lord is saying...while I am not the God of pain, death, sickness, or want; I can use all these things to bring about glory and good.

John 11:4 Jesus said, "This sickness will not end in death, but it is for the glory of God, so that the son of God might be glorified through it."
John 11:44-45 the dead man came out bound hand and foot with linen strips and with his face wrapped in a cloth. Jesus said to them "Unwrap him and let him go." Therefore many of the Jews who came to Mary and saw what he did, believed in Him.

When sicknes and illness are present so are the opportunities to heal and evangelize.

Do not fear those things which I have authority over. Your fear keeps you from participating in my Glory.

I AM for you.
My power is for you.
Use it to show others who don't believe

Seize the opportunity that sickness affords to glorify me and win souls.

PRAYER: Father God, we thank You that what the enemy intends for evil, You will work for good. Today we ask for opportunities to minister to our family, friends, and neighbors who don't know You yet. Give us open doors during this time of upheaval to usher in Your Salvation to the lives of those around us. In Jesus name, Amen.
