True biblical counseling does not try to minimize an individual's pain. Rather, it acknowledges the reality of pain because of the effects of sin, and it adjusts our responses to pain to reflect an ever present, ever faithful Father.

The mind is not the brain and the brain is not the mind, biblically speaking. If this is true, are you medicating the mind when you medicate the brain? If the answer is no, then what are psychotropics doing for us? Are they helpful or harmful?
