Modern life has made everything easier. Food arrives with a few taps, entertainment is always available, and our desires can be satisfied almost instantly.

But has this convenience made us less capable of saying no?

When we lose the ability to restrain our desires, corporations and social media platforms can turn our impulses into profit. We trade what we want most for what we want right now.

NYCMC Saturday Children's Program has begun with so much fun and excitement! 🎉

Our first day kicked off with martial arts, Islamic Studies, hands-on learning activities, Quran memorization, Arabic, and praying salah together.

A meaningful afternoon of honest conversations, reflection, learning, and connection.

Our youth gathered with Sanjay Subhag and Hafsah Ilyas to explore an important question: Who and what can we trust?

In a world filled with information, conflicting opinions, and AI that can provide answers in seconds, navigating questions about religion can be challenging. We discussed trust issues surrounding faith, the risks of relying on AI for religious rulings, and how Islam guides us to seek knowledge, verify information, and turn to qualified people when seeking a fatwa.

Finding true faith doesn't mean never having questions. It means learning how to ask, where to seek answers, and how Islam teaches us to find the truth.

And of course, meaningful conversations are even better when shared over a free dinner. 🍽️
