🌟 What a beautiful Sunday, celebrating how God is moving in and through our community!

This past Sunday was such an encouraging day at Fellowship. We got to celebrate a fantastic, high-energy week at Vacation Bible School and hear stories from our mission team who just returned from repairing homes in Tennessee! And the work doesn’t stop there. We are looking ahead with excitement as our middle school students head out to serve in the community this week, and we continue our partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services for MeetUp EatUp.

We were also challenged by a message from Rev. Charly Peña, who reminded us to listen closely to God and step out in obedience—especially when it comes to sharing the hope and good news of Jesus with the people in our everyday lives.

This year, kids were invited to explore the nature of God at our Rainforest Falls VBS. Children from around the community joined in the action and the fun this past week and learned wonderful worship songs. If you're looking for a great conversation starter with your child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or neighbor who attended, and want to learn the movements and the lyrics to the songs they learned, you are able to find them on YouTube. Search for Lifetree Kids Rainforest Falls VBS, and you'll get the full playlist. Even if your child didn't attend, these songs are an excellent tool to use to connect and learn together!

Our Young Adults group is meeting up tonight, June 12, at 9 pm in our Youth Center to watch our USA soccer team go up against Paraguay at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. All young adults are invited!

This past Sunday, we had a chance to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of our young adults as they move on to their next big adventure. Congratulations, graduates!

Every year, we welcome Lakewood Elementary's 5th-grade class as they celebrate the memories they have made throughout their time in elementary school and encourage them on their next journey into middle school. We are grateful for the partnership with Lakewood Elementary and for having the opportunity to witness these special moments.

Sunday was such a beautiful day of worship and community! ✨

Here are a few highlights from our time together:
🎓 We celebrated our amazing graduates and gave thanks for the ways our church family has invested in their lives.
🍞 We gathered around the communion table to remember Jesus’ incredible love for us.
📖 Pastor Tierra continued our worship series with a focus on Genesis 1, reminding us that every single person is beautifully made in the image of God. She challenged us to take that truth into our week and bless others through words of affirmation, acts of kindness, and gifts!

Fellowship, along with our friends from MiDHHS, Farmworker Outreach Services Division, will be at Quincy Apartments once again to spend time with the children of the surrounding community, June 15-18, from 11am-1:30pm. Free lunch for children 18 and younger. As usual, we will have outdoor games and crafts, and this year we have invited Outdoor Discover Center, Herrick District Library, and the fabulous Amie Winningham to lead us in song, movement, & memorization of Scripture! Volunteers are still needed to spend quality outdoor time with the kids. This volunteer opportunity is for the whole family, so if you have children, bring them along.
