Scripture says that a good man will leave an inheritance to their children's children. Notice that's grandchildren. We need to be thinking out to 2 generations or more. You can use the calculator above to run investment scenarios. Here are two: #1 Investing $300 per month from the time you're 25 to 65 would grow to over $1.5mm. You could safely pull 4% or $60k per year to live from and still leave the $1.5m to your kids or grandkids when you graduate and go to heaven! #2 When your kids are born, invest a single $300 seed for your grandkids. That $300 will grow to around $1mm over 85 years, which is roughly the age when your grandkids would be retiring. There is really no reason we all can't be extremely blessed with our calling fully funded, if we are thinking out to a couple generations.
