Join us for worship this Sunday at Immanuel! In this week's Gospel lesson, we'll hear instructions on how to handle conflict. Jesus reminds us that conflict will happen, and when it does, we should seek reconciliation. Too often in our culture we see disagreements as fights that must be won to prove who is right. Jesus asks us to seek healing and restoration instead, to do the more difficult work of mending what was broken for the sake of our individual relationships and the health of the community.

Join us for worship this Sunday at Immanuel! Last week we heard Peter share his faith in Jesus through some incredible words, but now, just a few verses later, Peter totally misses the boat. Instead of following Jesus, Peter tries to dictate to Jesus where to go and what to do. He forgot that being a disciple means *following* where your teacher leads - even to places that are uncomfortable, demanding, and dangerous. That's our call, too: to follow where Jesus leads, so that we can continue to proclaim the saving grace of God through our words and deeds.

Join us for worship this Sunday at Immanuel! In today's Gospel, Jesus will ask his disciples, "Who do you say that I am?" Peter is able to boldly declare who Jesus is, which leads Jesus to proclaim who Peter is, and on this rock the church is built. How would you answer Jesus' question, "Who do you say that I am?" The church is built on how we answer. We should think about our answers. Then when we are asked, we can share our faith freely with words that are familiar and close to our hearts.

Join us for worship this Sunday at Immanuel! We'll hear about Jesus encountering a woman who many considered an unclean outsider who wasn't part of God's people. But in response to her faith and devotion, Jesus proclaims that at God's table, everyone eats, everyone is welcome, and everyone is included. The Gospel isn't good news until it's good news for *everyone* - including you.
