Join us for worship this Sunday at Immanuel! In our reading, Jesus sends his disciples out to share the good news and spread the kingdom of God. But before he does, he offers them a warning: following him may come with a cost. While we don't tend to think about faith in terms of what it *costs* us, Jesus tells us that following faithfully may often be met with resistance and opposition. And when it does? Well, we've got each other, and the words of Jesus encouraging us to shake it off.

Join us for worship this Sunday at Immanuel! Our reading this week is about Jesus encountering two people who aren't known by their names, but rather by the labels that are put on them by others. Labels are powerful things that can shape how we see other people and even how we see ourselves. For years these two people have been held down and reduced by the labels put on them, but then Jesus does the most spectacular thing: he sees them and he gives them new names. We're reminded that Jesus offers *us* new names and a new start, and that what defines us most isn't what others say about us, but the fact that we are beloved children of God.

A weekend of planting! On Sunday we planted some warm-weather cops in the Garden of Feedin' including: carrots, squash, beets, tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants. All the crops we raise will help feed our hungry neighbors through the Wachusett Food Pantry!

We also planted our brand-new pollinator garden to help welcome and shelter butterflies, bees, moths, and hummingbirds.

Thanks for the help, everyone! Taking care of God's creation is good and holy work. 🙌

God's grace is for all people, in every nation and land, and the things we use to divide and measure people...just don't matter to God.

Join us for worship this Sunday at Immanuel! We're celebrating Trinity Sunday, when we remember that God interacts with us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. But why does this matter? Does God being a Trinity really impact our daily life or faith at all, or is this just a week to remember a hard-to-understand doctrine that is largely abstract? Perhaps the answer is found not in seeking to understand what the Trinity *means* but rather how it defines the ways in which God relates to us. God comes to us in the ways we need. How can we show up and do that for others?

LDR partnered with Catholic Charities of Eastern OK to support storm recovery in Muskogee, bringing hope to families facing devastating loss.
