🎬✨ We grew up singing “Let It Go,” “When You Wish Upon a Star,” and “Follow Your Heart”…

But what if those catchy lyrics are teaching something completely opposite of what Scripture says?

My latest post breaks down the hidden messages behind some of Disney’s most beloved songs — and why the “Disney Gospel” sounds beautiful, but leads us away from truth.

✝️ It’s time to sing with discernment.

Follow me down memory lane for just a moment. You are siting in front of your TV/VCR box with the rabbit ears reaching high into the radio waves. Your mom just popped in that black rectangle of endless entertainment (assuming your rewind button works). You’re sitting there criss-cross applesauce i...

“Do I want healing my way, or God's way?"
That was the question I asked myself as I stood in my bathroom, tears streaming, a bottle of newly prescribed anti-depressants in hand. It was hard enough to admit to myself that I had a problem; specifically, a problem it seemed prayer had not yet fixed…”

“Just as a roast takes time and care to be delicious, our time with God requires our attention and care to produce a harvest in us…”

"Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You I entrust my life."Psalm 143:8 NIVIt takes time and love to devote to making a good pot roast. Random, I know. You can whip one up relatively quick, skip the gravy, skimp on....

“Between songs, the worship leader had this to say, “worship is a heart posture, not just a body posture.” YES! A few minutes later, during the sermon, the pastor also added that “worship is a reaction”. YES and AMEN!

Some of you may read that and think, ‘well duh, why was that so exciting?’Friends, let me tell you…”

“…as we have God's presence, we have all that we need and we "can do all things through Christ" who gives us strength.

So, what is it that keeps us from applying this assurance to our own lives? What keeps us from this peace? There are many things, but one, in this age of technology, stands out from the rest…”

Jesus IS better! But do we live like that is true? Do we live in such a way that communicates to the world around us that all we need is the presence of God in our lives in order to be fulfilled? In the Psalms, we find King David expressing that he is satisfied in God's presence. Not in riches, or glo...

“Can you imagine how lonely she felt?

Can you imagine how many people probably criticized her and told her that God was punishing her? Can you imagine how desperate she must have been for a miracle.

We know next to nothing about this woman, but we do know that she believed in this man called Jesus, and that he was in her town that day, and she came expecting a miracle…”

"A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding...She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. For she thought to herself, 'If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.'...And he said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has made...

“Looking at the story of Mary and Martha in the Gospel of Luke, we could say that Mary is the thinker, and Martha is the doer. Martha invites Jesus into her home and works to prepare a meal for her guests.
As Jesus is teaching, where do we find Mary? We find her at the feet of the Messiah, taking it all in. This upsets Martha, who is now doing all the work on her own, and she demands that Jesus tell Mary to help her. His reply...

Quick self-check...are you a thinker or a doer? Are you the one turning all the gears or the one contemplating how all the gears work? All of us are capable of being both a thinker AND a doer, but one is normally more prominent in us than the other. Me personally, I am more of a thinker than a doer....
