Come join us Good Friday morning, April 3, 2026, in our annual "Walk the Cross" event, hosted by Holcomb First Church (formerly Holcomb United Methodist Church) and Sparta Methodist Church.

Walkers will gather at 9 a.m. at Sparta Methodist Church, with walkers taking turns "walking the cross" along the approximately five miles on Sparta Road to HFC, arriving there around 11 a.m. Refreshments will be provided.

Area church groups and individuals are invited to participate in the walk. Young children will need a responsible adult to accompany them. A safety es**rt will be provided by the Grenada County Sheriff's Department.

We can celebrate the hope we find on Easter Sunday all the more meaningfully when we join Him on the way to the cross.

Holcomb UMC will join in worship with Sparta UMC at their annual Homecoming on Sunday, May 25. The worship service will begin at 11 a.m. Ricky Mabry will provide special music, and Dinner on the Ground will follow. Come and enjoy a good time with family and friends. We look forward to seeing you!

Holcomb United Methodist Church will celebrate Easter with a sunrise worship service at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 31. A fellowship breakfast will follow the service. We invite you to join us in worship of our risen Lord.

The new year 2023 begins tomorrow and you are invited to join us at Holcomb United Methodist Church for worship service at 11 a.m., as we celebrate the Epiphany of Christ.

Our deepest sympathies are with the family of Mr. Willie Fred Watson, 89, long time member of Holcomb UMC, who passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the Holcomb United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Holcomb Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Monday evening at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the Holcomb United Methodist Church.

Join us Sunday, December 4, at 11 a.m. at the Holcomb United Methodist Church. In this second Sunday of Advent, we will light the Advent candle of peace and celebrate Holy Communion.
