The Tennessee District Children’s Ministries is honored to recognize Jennifer Hensley of Sanctuary First UPC (Section 6) as our 2026 Teacher of the Year!

Jennifer’s faithful service, unwavering dedication, and genuine love for children have made a lasting impact on countless lives. Week after week, she has invested in the next generation, teaching God’s Word, leading with compassion, and serving with excellence. Her ministry reminds us that what happens in a children’s classroom has eternal significance.

Thank you, Jennifer, for answering the call to teach, encourage, and disciple the children of Tennessee. Your faithfulness does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for the incredible example you are to teachers across our district.

VBS DAY 4! 💫

Our final night was one we’ll remember for a long time. As we continued learning about Peter and heard real stories of God’s faithfulness from people in our own church, we were reminded that God can turn every seemingly bad season of our lives for good. ✝️

Thank you to every family who spent the week with us and to every volunteer who made it all possible. We couldn’t have done it without you!

If you joined us this week, we hope we’ll see you again soon. Our doors are open every Sunday and Wednesday, and there’s always a place for you here! ❤️🙌🏻

VBS DAY 3! 🎟️

Last night was a blast! Our lesson reminded us that our mistakes don’t change God’s love for us. Just as Jesus showed Peter grace, He offers that same love and forgiveness to each of us!

Tonight is our FINAL night of VBS and we’ve got an even bigger show planned! 🎆

Parents, we encourage you to stick around at pickup to eat and fellowship under the fireworks with us. Even more details will be coming, so stay tuned!

VBS DAY 2! ✅

Last night we stepped into Peter’s story and learned that true faith comes from trusting Jesus, even when things feel impossible. We can always trust our great big God! 💪🏻🎟️🌊
