Jesus Christ is the one mediator between God and men. We pray this message brings biblical clarity on the subject concerning religion, traditions, rituals, ceremonies, priests, and sacerdotalism. Salvation is in a Person, not a program; through a Savior, not a system; because of Christ, not a church, creed, or confession. If Christ alone is insufficient to save us, then we are doomed. Since Christ is sufficient to save us, we need not reach for any other means, method, or mode. "Salvation is of the Lord." "For by grace are ye saved through faith...not of works."

A spiritual emphasis of Christian "joy" will be felt this Wednesday.

"And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word" (Mt. 28:8). "This composition of two contrary passions [fear and joy] is frequently found the best hearts," writes the Puritan, Thomas Brook. "Here the best have sorrow with their joy, water with their wine, vinegar with their oil, pain with their ease, winter with their summer, and autumn with their spring. But in heaven they shall have joy without sorrow, light without darkness, sweetness without bitterness, summer without winter, health without sickness, honor without disgrace, glory without shame, and life without death." We don't have to wait for Heaven for joy when we have Jesus, the heaven of heavens, in our hearts! "These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full" (Jn. 15:11). Pure joy will be had in Heaven, but we can have full joy down here all the same.

Do they see a change in your life? Do they ask, "Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved?"

Tent Morning, Sunday Morning August 30. Bro Kenny Marr preaching out of 2 Samuel 6:16. The message from the preacher encourages us to celebrate and rejoice in the goodness of God; to discourage us from becoming critical as Michal, the daughter of Saul; and to remind us to worship the Lord even when we are being criticized. Worship the Lord!

"And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart" (2 Sam. 6:16).
