Ok guys and gals, we are back on for tonight!! our parking lot is mostly clear though there are some slick places so be careful walking on it. I will have the door to the ministry center unlocked (it is the safest path). Volleyball starts tonight as well so we will have to work around each other. We will pickup where we would have been, last week with the 25th lesson 7 reasons we get stuck. I felt it was very appropriate, with this horrible snow and ice situation we are currently in. With the cold temps and frozen back roads, and drive ways, we are going to cancel Celebrate Recovery tonight. With recovery it's always a fear of what is more dangerous? An icy road ? Or a relapse from missed meetings? If you have phone numbers use your phone if you need it. Reach out to others who are sober and safe, it could be the thing that saves your life. Recovery from anything is hard, it takes work and learning to say no to something you have said yes to for so long. I am currently trying to watch what I eat (I love sweets). What I have learned, as long as I don't bring a pecan pie in the house I won't try to eat it all in one setting. Temptation is a real thing and no matter what you struggle with is a real struggle to you. James chapter 1 tells us when our faith is tested it has endurance to grow. So let it grow and turn away from your temptations and it becomes easier.
