Good morning folks. I don’t post this to start any arguments. I copied this from a friend of mine. I didn’t just paste it without Bible study to make for certain the post were on target. They are and I enjoyed the Bible study this morning. Thank you Jeff for sharing this
Sorry folks, but I just think I need to say something here with regard to these claims that God is non- binary.
I understand that a man running for the U.S. Senate from Texas claims this belief along with some progressive Christians who hold on to the belief that human gender categories do not fully apply to God.
I believe that such claims are no more than foolish talk from sinners trying in some way to justify their sins and behaviors.
I myself, am a terrible sinner. I’ll not try to “justify” my sins, faults, and failures. I will instead, pray for forgiveness and try to live a more Christ-like life, knowing that my sins are forgiven through the blood of Jesus Christ.
These “Progressive Christians” can claim what they will; call out about their beliefs, claim that Christians have gotten it all wrong since the times of Christ, and preach it on every street corner from Brownsville to Dalhart. That is their right under our constitution.
But as for me and my house, we will proclaim that our Father in Heaven is the same Father in Heaven Jesus Christ referred to many many times, quite clearly, until the time of His crucifixion.
For that reason I cannot, and will not vote for, endorse, or recommend anyone who says otherwise.
Please note the examples I have brought together.
I see nothing non-binary in any of them…….
In the Gospel of John 14:2. In the classic King James Version, Jesus said:
“In my FATHER’S house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”
“For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.”
— John 6:38 (KJV)
“I am not come of myself, but he sent me.”
— John 8:42 (KJV)
John 2:16
“Make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.”
• John 5:17
“My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”
• John 5:43
“I am come in my Father’s name…”
• John 6:32
“My Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.”
• John 8:19
“Ye neither know me, nor my Father…”
• John 8:28
“I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me…”
• John 8:42
“Neither came I of myself, but he sent me.”
• John 10:17
“Therefore doth my Father love me…”
• John 10:18
“This commandment have I received of my Father.”
