Well, today we had snow in Woodbury, but looking back with fond memories on crisp and bright fall weather; colors changing at Dells Mill in Fall Creek, Wisconsin, last Sunday as Connie and I drove home from church.

Upper Pigeon Creek invites you to Christian worship every Sunday at 9:00 AM, with Holy Communion offered the second and third Sundays of every month. Many of us come early for fellowship!
On Sunday, June 19, 2022, all are invited to worship in an ecumenical service at 10:00 AM in Osseo Central Park rather than at UPCLC. Pastor Dave Christianson will be offering a message of celebration and hope as part of the city’s Lake Matthew Days. You can come for the worship and stay for the parade and a meal!
Peace, Pastor Dave

Upper Pigeon Creek is participating again this year in the mid-week Lenten Round Robin worship services, with coffee fellowship at Noon each Wednesday and worship at 1:00 PM. This year the Round Robin has benefitted from a significant expansion, with 15 churches and 9 ministers participating in the rotation of visiting clergy to neighboring congregations. This years theme is ‘turning toward the Dvine Attributes of God’, as found in the Gospels of Luke and John. All are invited! Peace, Pastor Dave.

As of June, 2021, we are now worshipping in person without masks or distancing and with full hymn singing and musical accompaniment. We give thanks for a successful round of vaccinations by virtually all of our regular worshippers, capping our efforts all last year to keep everyone safe.
July 4 was our first outdoor service, back by popular demand on selected Summer Sunday’s, weather permitting. Services are at 9:00 AM each Sunday. We will be outdoors on 1st and 4th Sunday’s, and indoors on 2nd and 3rd Sunday’s with Communion for all members and guests who are baptized and believe, and desire life and forgiveness through the Lord’s Supper; men, women and children as he welcomed and blessed (even sinners!).
Sunday School and Confirmaton classes will resume the second week of September, and October will see the return of the Upper Pigeon Creek Bazaar, complete with an auctioneer, door prizes, raffle, dinner and that famous Church Baaement Coffee. We pray we will see you soon.
Peace, Pastir Dave.

Stay warm and stay safe. Peace, Pastor Dave.

Starting on Sunday, January 17, 2021, Upper Pigeon Creek Lutheran Church will resume in-person worship. Services are at 9:00 AM, with masks requested for all attendees in the sanctuary. Other precautions in effect include distancing, sanitizers for hands, individual communion servings and bulletins, and no hymn singing at this time. For those wishing to attend service but hesitant about indoor exposure or crowding, you may listen to the service from your cars by tuning in on 87.9 FM. Please note that we will also conduct an abbreviated Annual Meeting after services on February 7, 2021, with the same precautions observed. Peace be with you, and stay safe.

Christmas Eve Candlelight services will be held at Upper Pigeon Creek Lutheran Church on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. This will be a drive-in service with the worship and songs broadcast on 87.9 FM. Ushers will pass out bulletins and songsheets as well as candles. The weather promises to be brisk but clear; there should be no problem in a modern car to idle your vehicles for the 30-40 minutes of the service for heat and electricity, very little gas used! We will be able to share a host of familiar Christmas hymns and readings, even a sing-a-long of the Little Drummer Boy for the kids among us. Pastor Dave will share an invigorating and quick sermon from the front steps of the church, and we will light electric candles to the tune of Silent Night.. we look forward to seeing those of you who wish to celebrate Christmas at church in a welcoming and memorable service this Thursday evening! If your schedule conflicts, the service will be repeated at South Beef River Lutheran Church at 6:00 P.M. that evening. Peace, Pastor Dave

To all friends and parishioners of Upper Pigeon Creek Lutheran Church;

On Sunday, November 22, 2020, we will worship in person at 9:00 AM. Following that service, celebrating the last Sunday of Pentecost and Christ the King Sunday, we will be suspending all in-person worship until further notice, due to the rapid increase in COVID infections in our area. A significant number of individuals and families among our sister churches and in the general community have tested positive and several have been hospitalized in just the last two weeks. Unfortunately, even with the strictest of safety precautions, we cannot guarantee that gatherings at church will not be a point of contact or spread of the virus among many of our vulnerable members.

As originally approved by the Church Council, we will still tentatively have an observance on Christmas Eve with a drive-in service at 4:00 PM on December 24, 2020. People may worship in their cars, listening in on 87.9 FM to share the Christmas Story, readings, carols, and a candle lighting.

May the Peace of the Lord be with you and yours. Sincerely, Pastor Dave.

As Thanksgiving and Christmas approach, the COVID-19 pandemic has rapidly worsened to overwhelming levels. Several of our parishioners and families have been infected with some hospitalizations, but thankfully no contacts have yet been spread through worship. We continue to practice fully masked, contactless, and distanced attendance in our sanctuary, but we ask that our members and guests redouble their caution about sharing spaces, and stay at home if they have any conditions, illness, or hesitation that are concerning about the risk. To that end, we support on-line resources at "South Beef River Lutheran Church”, “Peace Lutheran Church of Pigeon Falls”, and offer broadcasts in the parking lot during services on FM 87.9. Drive-ups are welcome to participate in Communion and prayer with us.

While Thanksgiving and Advent services have been suspended this year, we will be offering a DRIVE-IN CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE at 4:00 PM in front of the church. We will share the Christmas story, sing carols and hymns, and light candles from our cars, weather permitting and God willing. Be safe, and the Peace of our Lord be with you! Pastor Dave.
