Do people know you’re a Christian by how you love others through disagreements?

“ACCEPT One Another” can be a hard concept, especially when life gets messy.

But when we remember how Christ accepted US… when we were broken, sinful, and unacceptable… it reminds us how we are to accept one another.

October is Pastor and Ministry Leader Appreciation month! We thought we’d take a moment and feature our pastors, ministry leaders, and other staff for how long they’ve been in ministry at DBC! 👀🤣

We are so thankful for all the ministry that happens with these incredible people here at Dallas Bay Church!

Taryn had hit rock bottom in depression, and was actually writing a su***de note. Something stopped her and she drove to the only place she felt safe, her Mamaw’s house.

Shortly after that, she attended Easter Sunday at DBC with her family and heard the song, “Made for More.” It was that day she realized that God was calling her to more. On August 30, 2026, Taryn fully understood her need for a Savior, repented of her sins, and found freedom in Christ through salvation. Her life has not been the same since!

Her aunt always told her, “Stop stealing His pen. Let God write your story.” Well, in Taryn’s case, God literally dropped the pen from hand writing a su***de note and reminded her she was made for more. Praise Jesus!

On Sunday, we celebrated life change for Taryn, and salvation in Jesus Christ through baptism!

Maybe you’re like Taryn and you are in a season of depression and a time that feels like no hope. Please let this be a reminder to you that there is freedom, hope, and true joy through a relationship with Jesus Christ! You are not alone. There is always, always hope!

We love telling the stories of every person who raises their flag for Jesus! This past Sunday, we had the honor of celebrating with both Luke and Neyland.

Luke started asking his parents about what it meant to follow Jesus. One night before bed they sat down at the dining room table, and he prayed to ask Jesus into his heart! He is so excited about what Jesus has done for him, and he is ready to, “follow in His footsteps!”

Neyland had been asking questions about Jesus for months. One Sunday morning after church, he was driving home with his parents and became emotional talking about Jesus and how he wanted to know Him. His parents pulled the car over and answered his questions, and Neyland prayed to receive Christ right there! His favorite thing about Jesus is, “That He loves me all the time!”

We loved celebrating with both of these families as their children have made the most important decision they will ever make! Please keep praying for these guys as they learn more and grow in their faith.

“Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
