Before you point out what’s wrong in someone else’s life, let God reveal what needs to change in yours. Real love starts by looking inward first.

When we confront a brother or sister in Christ, the goal isn’t to condemn them, it’s to help restore them. So check your own heart first, approach them with humility, and remember the goal: restoration, not condemnation.

Money can give us a sense of security—but this goes much deeper than money.
Anything we depend on for our peace and security can begin to compete with our trust in Jesus. Money. Success. Relationships. Possessions. Control. If our security is found in those things, then when they’re threatened, our peace is threatened too.
But Jesus offers a different kind of peace—one that isn’t dependent on how much we have or what our circumstances look like.
The question is: What am I trusting? Where is my security?

What reward are you chasing? Jesus warns us about the difference between human applause and God's approval. When we do good things for the wrong reasons, we get exactly what we're looking for—temporary recognition. But is that really worth it? The applause of people fades, but the approval of your Savior lasts forever. Applause or approval? That's the choice.

What does it mean that Jesus fulfilled the Law?
It means He brought it to its intended purpose. The law, the sacrifices, the temple, the prophecies, and the promises of the Old Testament were never the end of the story, they were all pointing forward to Jesus.

This clip comes from yesterday’s sermon in Matthew 5, where we looked at the difference between outward obedience and true inward transformation. Jesus didn’t come simply to give us a better list of behaviors to follow, He came to transform us from the heart outward. It was always pointing to Jesus, and Jesus is still after the heart.

God doesn't transform you just to leave you on a shelf. He transforms you so He can use you. Moses, Paul — the world would have written them off, but God saw something different. Your past doesn't disqualify you; it's part of your story.

Wednesday Midweeks are Back!

There's something special about gathering together in the middle of the week to worship, grow in God's Word, and encourage one another. At Tabernacle, Wednesday nights are a core part of who we are, and we're excited to kick off another season of Midweek ministry tonight!

From preschoolers to senior adults, there's a place for every age to connect, grow in faith, and build meaningful relationships centered on God's Word.

We can't wait to see you tonight!

The first step in God's kingdom isn't climbing higher, it's bowing lower. Everything in the Christian life begins with humility. That's why Jesus opened the Sermon on the Mount the way He did. Before He talked about influence, righteousness, or discipleship, He pointed to a humble heart. You don't enter God's kingdom by climbing your way to Him. You come to Him with empty hands, recognizing your need for His grace.

Joy is not the absence of problems. Joy is the confidence that God is still good in spite of them. This is the reminder we all needed today. It's easy to run to God when life is hard, but praise in the good times? That's where real faith is built. Don't enjoy the gifts more than the Giver.

Your sphere of influence might not look like David's, but it carries the same weight before God. What are your decisions pointing people toward? When people spend time around you, do they see more of Christ?
