What is Zyshi?
Zyshi is is a form of modern paganism where practitioners blend paganism with aspects of other religions or philosophies. In the book Handbook of New Age, Melissa Harrington states that "Eclectic Pagans do not follow any particular Paganism, but follow a Pagan religious path, that includes the overall Pagan ethos of reverence for the ancient Gods, participation in a magical world view, stewardship and caring for the Earth, and 'nature religion.'
Tenants Of Zyshi:
You shall be patient even in times of struggle.
You shall not inflict pain or terror in the name of Zyshi.
You shall seek to improve life.
You shall seek out your place in the world. Ask yourself, “What have I done to contribute to this world today?”
You shall care for children hurt by misfortune.
You shall discard ignorance, but seek to understand where it came from as to prevent future ignorance.
You shall believe in your abilities as you believe in Zyshi and the Divine.
You shall not stray from the path.
You shall use the energies in nature and all around you for good. Black magick is only to be used in special circumstances.
You shall always be concentrated on gaining knowledge, practicing, experimenting, sharing, and growing in your abilities in Witchcraft, Wicca, and your growth in the Zyshi faith.
Instead of casting a “circle” as in traditional witchcraft or Wicca, Zyshi cast a “sanctum.”
The holy book of Zyshi is: The Word Of Prophecies & The Tome Of Answers
The Word Of Prophecies is an ongoing work that stays with each temple. All “official temple members” will have access to the book to write down their visions or other things that are “prophecies” that have been “tested” and are approved by council.
The Tome Of Answers is a book that is only added on by the high council. This contains visions, magick spells, information, secrets and other things of high importance about the Zyshi faith, that the high council chooses to add.
