Today, staff gathered with a small group. On the Eve of Mother's Day (in Haiti, Mother's day is celebrated on the last Sunday in May), they studied with them "the responsibility of the children toward their parents". The verses Stevenson used were Ephesians 6:1-3. It was a magnificent day sharing the word of God with them.
They also sang, said poems, told stories, riddles and jokes.

Today was a difficult day for Stevenson and the rest of the staff to distribute the food. Cap-Haitien has flooded since Thursday night which makes it difficult to get places. The water is so high that Stevenson is wearing boots. Even on motorcycle, it's very difficult to get around. However, despite the flooding and by God's grace, the staff were able to complete the food distributions.

It was difficult to gather with both the parents and the kids the past few weeks due to rain that was flooding streets. But, today, God provided weather that allowed the staff to meet with the parents and kids to discuss "The importance of the family in the church" using the verse Joshua 24:15. As you can see in the pictures, joy covered their faces. We praise the the Lord for His ongoing achievement.

Current situation in Haiti.

Flooding in the northwest corner of Haiti this week killed at least 12 people and submerged hundreds of homes and farms, according to Haiti’s Office of Civil Protection.

Yesterday, the Gospel4Haiti staff gathered as usual with both the kids and parents.
The topic that they studied with the parents was: The importance of the knowledge of the word of God. Text read was 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Stevenson developed four points inside this text.
1. The word of God teaches us Truth (Doctrine)
2. The word of God convinces us (reproof)
3. The word of God corrects us (correction)
4. The word of God trains us to live right (instruction in Righteousness)

The teachers teach 2 Timothy 3:16-17 to the kids as well. Both the kids and parents learned those two verses today. They sang, prayed, said poems, teachers read bible stories with them and explained the exact message God wanted to communicate with them.
Because of the weather conditions, the number of kids and parents decreased, as many live far from the school. Water is high on the road which makes travel difficult.

Gospel4Haiti staff gathered with both the parents and the kids today. The topic they discussed on was " work, a blessing and a responsibility" with the biblical text Colossians 3: 23 used. "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."
First Stevenson, defined the word "work" and then he developed three main points with them:
1- work is a divine institution according to Genesis 2:15
2- work must be done with diligence. Proverbs 14:23
3- work must glorify God. Colossians 3:23
At the end, they shared fellowship with the parentsandkids. As usual, it was an awesome day.
We continue to give glory to God for His achievement in G4H.

Today, there was a Gospel4Haiti meeting with the kids. First, they discussed the composition of the Bible and then the kids played soccer, jumped rope, and ran around in the playground.
They also got juice and crackers.

More business opportunities are opening for families. Think about it—here in the States, you may need several thousand dollars to start a small business. But this woman began with only $150 from a simple wheelbarrow.

Through training and encouragement, families are learning to diversify what they sell. In a previous post, some were selling beans, oil, rice, and other goods. This woman chose a different path—filling her wheelbarrow with sandals and shoes. It may seem small, but it is powerful. A small investment, paired with guidance and faith, becomes a pathway to sustainability.

Together, we empower local leadership, meet real and urgent needs, and demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ in practical ways—bringing both spiritual and physical hope to families and communities.

After Stevenson led a wonderful seminar on entrepreneurship—highlighting the importance of building businesses with faith and wisdom—action began.
